lil situation with the adress

hi ppl..

i have a quick question. so we send out our aos and got today out email notification that everything is in progress and that we gonna get our noa1 and information for the working permit via mail .

so the issue we having is that my husband has still a valid apartment lease until july we cant move out cuz they charge us crazy much, they ( the apartment management) dont wanna put me on the lease, they wanna charge us double of rent.

some of the mail when it addressed to both of us gets in the mail and when it just addressed to me it sometimes gets sent back. the postal service doesnt put the mail in the box, they leave it with the apartment management and they out it in the mail boxes.

so im a lil worried that they send the mail back from our visa. and i was thinking about since i have my case number to call the hotline and try to explain it to them if they could address things in my husbands and mine name.

does has anyone some experience on that?? we moving this summer new place both on the lease.

i hope i didnt wrote it too confusing.. hope someone can help me with it..

Do you have PO BOX address? If not, then try to get one to avoid your mails from USCIS (or any other mails you are receiving) gets lost. You don't want your application gets delay because of the situation you are having. Then that is the time you can change your address online.

oh i didnt knew getting an PO box is an option for the aos visa. since they want all proof that this marriage is real and all.. but if a PO box is allowed yeah that would be a great idea.

When/If you change your address to a PO Box just make sure to make it very clear that you need everything send o the Po Box.

We can't receive mail at our physical address, so we already had the PO Box anyway. Apparently we didn't make it clear when we sent the paperwork in, so the first few things were sent back to USCIS as undeliverable, which caused us quite some stress and (as far as I can tell) a bit of a delay inthe whole process.

hi ines. yeah we did it now a little different. because we werent sure if the uscis sends documents to a po box. so our mail office herein town holds our mail for 30 days ,we can pick it up anytime and after the 30days we can add another 30days. and by then we moved to a new place were we both on the lease and give the uscis our new address...but thank you for ur responds
