just looked on vsc site and every petition has a dated time hard to beleive maybe they went on strike? as nothing has a month

There was a January petition approved at VSC today (based on our timelines here). I don't think it's much to worry about at this point..have to wait and see how many people are updating timelines here to get some perspective on the current processing times.

The parking lot was full this morning. Maybe they all went on vacation and parked at the VSC then took taxis to the airport to save parking fees. Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh.

You are checking an unreliable system and asking why it isn't working. Because it is unreliable.

Timeline updates indicate two December petition approvals and one January at VSC for today (4/25). Something is obviously not correct with the statistics and dates on the website or it will be affecting petitions that were filed more recently. I think anyone who was relatively close to NOA2 will not be having a problem. And it may be that no one ends up having a problem with delays. Only time will tell.

that is just wishful thinking. i don't mean to be negative here, but look at the reality.

6 months later and they have all this backlog. they are stating that nothing went wrong.

obviously something went wrong. how can 6 months of backlog pass without any notice?

you get the logic here? 1 or 2 months may be a acceptable mistake, but 6 months and turmoil for everyone else!

if you screw up, don't try to cover it up. at least make it up to the people e.g. grant our spouse a visiting visa etc.

i know some of you will defend that uscis has a lot of petition. well look at the business visa. they get better processing status than family visa. com'on! where is the family value? or just look at us as numbers and dollars?

again, if there where a lot of petitions, then why wasn't it delay in a chronological order in the beginning?

they choose to process the middle of the asymmetric shape curve and then go back to process everyone again. they said it is not fair for those who are waiting that long. of course it is not fair!!!! what is really not fair, inhumane, and injustice is they choose not process in chronological order and suddenly process in chronological order. all those who had waited is now in emotional turmoil waiting for the september 2011 to reach january/february/march 2012.

Yes. I don't really know what to think of it all yet..After contacting my attorney and his inquiry it helped alleviate some of my concerns. Also, the law office I used has steadily received approvals of December petitions over the past several weeks. They're still projecting late May / early June as a conservative estimate for my petition as filed in January with the potential it could even happen sooner. They've been at the business over 20 years, so I'm going to trust they have some experience in the projections that they provided.

20-30-40 years it doesn't matter they don't have any influence on the work load at USCIS, and what petitions are getting approved. I filed myself with no lawyer (and happy I did saved $$$$) and got approved with no issues. If you look at my timeline my total process from filing till Visa in hand was 5.5 month.

Yup definitely. It's awesome you were able to get from initial filing to Visa in hand within that timeframe. Makes me hopeful. It seems right now that the data supports a steady rate of approvals at VSC. They are clearly working on December. Nothing supports the idea of a sort of VSC shut down or backlog to affect petitions at this point or the bizarre processing dates presented in that report. Just reporting the facts based on what we're seeing on timelines here and information I have been able to acquire on my own. It is what it is. But I agree. We have no control. I probably wouldn't have used an attorney, but I was not aware of the abundant alternative resources at that time. They were reasonably priced and have been very professional, so it hasn't been too inconvenient. Glad to know this resource exists for all future stages.

tell me if my math is wrong from info on timelines i read

Vermont Service Center

1417 k petitions for last 360 days

so lets say 1 person reveiws 2 petitions an hour for 8 hours aday 5 days aweek if my math is correct

2 times 8 is 16 in a day

16 times 5 is 80 petitions weekly

as rule 4 weeks a month so

80 times 4 is 320 petitions a month

as we know 12 months a year so

320 times 12 is 3840 petitions a year

if i am correct again if uscis asigns just one persons to k petitions only then they could have done half the work load of k petitions and still got ahead just think how happy everyone could be

now little more math vsc says 1417 k petitions for last 360 months at a fee of $340.00 each if my math right uscis received from k petitions alone $481,780.00 and this all could be done reviewed with a payroll of just one person

I'm not sure what is going on... I just know that even on Visa Journey they have bumped out my timeline. My original possible judication dates were early May to early June... and now they have been pushed out to July 3rd to Sept 4th. :(

Keeping my fingers crossed, that is is actually going to happen around this time...

Waiting waiting with the rest of you! :bonk:

Okay I originally had the service center as Texas because that is where we originally filed... but they moved it to Vermont. Visa Journey says to put original Service Center there... I changed it to Vermont and now it is saying my ajudication dates are June 4th, to June 11th. That sounds more like it... keeping fingers crossed.
