I think that is awful. but their has to be something that can be done. Her interview was already completed, who are they to give her another interview. Yes make sure you put in a complaint to you congressman. Also you should be refunded the flight money!!!!!! Do they think people have funds to waste. Sorry this all happened. Good luck!!!!!

Maybe you can make an infopass appointment and tell them what happened. I have never heard of anyone being interviewed at the POE. This is the second post I have read today of border agents messing up. You could also try and contact your congressman and senator as Ingalia suggested and see if they can help you.

If this is true then what happens to her? I just flew and had my tickets booked at least a month in advance...I speak perfect English and I am a USC

if I was refused entry at POE... I still would be stranded...where could I get a flight to somewhere at that moments notice to leave the country?

How does she turn around and walk back on a return plane?? That is crazy.

I am sorry if your story is true and really hope you can get some type of answer in order to remedy your situation.

LOL at your edit B-)

1. US citizens cannot be refused entry into the US for any reason.

2. It's the airline's responsibility to return anyone who is found to be inadmissible. So if you're refused entry, the airline is obligated to fly you back.

I just wanted to post this so I can get help and also warn people that k-1 visas are so strict. She got interviewed again at the airport.

Everyone gets questioned / interview at airport – severity of the interview depends from case to case and person to person.

You need to provide little more detail about as what the conversation was, what were the questions and what were the answers.

Just officer by himself cannot put someone back on the flight and cancel a visa, it has to go to chief immigration officer on duty at that time and his approval is required.

thanks for the info

number 1 I only made that point that even as an American I would find it hard to find a flight at this moments notice...

and

number 2 cancels out number 1 ...a least she got home.

But if she was approved for a fiance visa on what grounds do they do another Interview?????

That does not sound right..they thought she was from North Korea?

Still I am very sorry to the OP

I was taken into a room and made to wait for a long time. I was asked a few questions about when I would get married etc, I don't remember there being any questions about what my husbands house looked like though? I suppose we will have to wait for her to reach her home country before we can find out.

I think you need to hire immigration lawyer....That is the fastest way to get answer your problem.

Immigration lawyer cannot do anything nor senator nor Congressman can question why one particular person was refused entry.

That is the job of the immigration they are paid to make sure all ppl who enter in country are legitimate and they have valid documentation to do so.

There is something missing from the story, immigration needs a solid reason to refuse someone an entry especially someone with K1 or CR1 who are coming with immigrant intent.

As I said earlier they do not just send someone back the case is referred to chief immigration officer and based on info given to him by immigration officer he makes the final call.
