I've been buying quite a few lately.

I'm pretty sure 12ga and .22LR are going to be currency soon. I spend money I don't have on ammo. Some of it I'm buying to feed the zombies (like dragon's breath and a ####-ton of 00 buck) but most of it I'm buying to hedge my investment capital against a doomsday scenario.

I think we're going to see all those "smarty pants" investment bankers try to barter their "papers" for a chicken. I'm really, really, REEEEEAAAALLY going to try to refrain from saying, "I told you so."

They better have something better than paper to barter.

Two individuals not known to be the rightful owners, not possessing the proper documents to demonstrate ownership (I read in another article on this story that they did not have their closing papers with them while trying to change the locks) and not appearing to belong in that neighborhood... trying to do what any reasonable observer would think was picking a lock.

Yes, not justified. Their lives were not in any danger at anytime and there was no immediate danger to anyone that a responding police Officer could not attend to.

This is why we have a Police department, properly trained and hopefully beyond the knuckle dragging slack jawed lobotomy patient troglodyte thinking of who looks like they belong.

I bet the Calonies (sp) have appliances on their front law and own a banjo or two.

look, these two 'good ol boys' seemed to be part of The Country's watchstanders.

In many rural areas, men glom together and keep a look out, either informally or formally.

Slim, you prolly not encounter this much, being an urban sort of fella, but

good neighbors keep an eye out.

I think these two fellas are ignorant, really, as IF they really were with the local watch group? They would have KNOWN that the property was recently purchased, as the for sale sign came down, and this would have come up at the local morning coffee club meeting or the weekly poker game or the bi-weekly duck hunting extravaganza. See, Bucky's wife works in the title office, and she handled the paperwork two weeks ago, and told Susanna, who told her husband (The Sherrif) George that the property was sold and the buyers had funny names.

What the fella was trying to say was 'This is how we do it here in the countryside, we watch out for our neighbors' property'. I think something got lost in the translation..

Keeping an eye out was all they're supposed to do. They kept their guns out. That's illegal.
