Just sent the application for my mother to come here with I-130. She lives in COlombia. How long is the process until interview taking? Any info would be great

Thank you

You can do a Timeline Search here on VJ by selecting CR1/IR1 visa petitions sent to the same service center. That'll give you an idea of how long it may take for the I-130 to be approved. Then you can add another month or two for the NVC to process her case and another two months to get an appointment at the US Embassy in Bogotá. The whole entire process can take between 9-12 months.

This days nobody knows exactly how long could take...first you need to find out to were your case was sent California or Vermont..California at this time is processing the I-130 much quicker than Vermont the 5 months target and Vermont 6 or 7 months but California a feel months ago was in the same situation! So who knows but like in the past from start to finish the whole process runs into 8 to 10 months.

A threat for parent I-130 would be great, then all we would do is just check in and cheer each other on . Made it so much easier for me on the N-400 thread last year, keeps the anxiety level down.
