Hi,

Does anyone know what kind of timeframe to expect at the embassy in Stockholm between NVC case closed and an interview date? At previous visa interviews I have been able to schedule the interview myself and often been able to get an interview in just a couple of weeks. Is this an option, or does the NVC schedule the interview and that's that?

NVC will schedule your interview and that is that! I was actually in touch with the Stockholm embassy regarding this myself.

I got my case closed on March 30th and my interview is on the 16th of may. During the summer, vacation time, the wait will be longer.

Damn, I feared that. Did they tell you this or are you assuming? If you give me a lecture in how to make it through NVC in a week I will be forever grateful!! Lol.

I am curious about this as well. We should get our case closed at NVC this week and I will try and remember to reply and let you know how long it took for us to get the interview date. I am moving back to the US July 26 and am hoping that we can get my husband's interview in before then. I want to visit Stockholm! Murphy's law says his interview will be scheduled for the day I leave lol If so, I plan to call and see if there is anyway possible we can get it moved up.

Please let me know how that works out!

My wife and I are going to Greece the first two weeks of August. We were hoping to head back to the US together after. Right now it looks like I'll get my interview right around the time we're going to Greece. Damn that Murphy...

Hi,

My husband and I are on the same boat. Our case was completed by the NVC at the end of May 2012, and we are awaiting an interview date in Stockholm since he is Denmark. We have been waiting, and calling and no information has been given to us. They keep telling us they don't know. Have any of you received your interview date yet? Are they giving you guys the run around as well?

Stockholm immigrant visa unit doesn't answer telephone inquiries. Have you tried to contact them by email?

My husband has emailed the stockholm embassy a couple of times, and they just respond that they have no information on cases. That NVC just schedules the interviews for them. This is the only information we have been able to get :(
