I had an info pass last week. The only thing the officer could tell me was that I was waiting for an interview but she couldn't tell me how much longer the wait would be. It's been 3+ months. She only said to wait 60 days and if I hadn't heard anything I could schedule another infopass :/ this whole process is taking its toll on me. I'm stressed everyday. I hope we all get good news soon

Setting the appointment date, locally, depends on two things:

1. casefile actually at the local USCIS office and

2. queue size of those before you - ie - what's yer place in the line?

Sorry.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Yea that's what the lady at the info pass told me. She said my file was actually in the office but it had just arrived about two weeks ago even though my case was transferred over 3 months ago. :/

My case was transferred on June 14 2012, I already called and created a service request, but I haven't heard from them yet.

Whats an Infopass? Do you schedule it over the phone? Should I go to my local office and ask for that infopass?

Please Help.

I'm not sure what a service request is. Would u mind telling me what it is? An info pass u can schedule online and u can set up an appt at ur local office but they are basically just customer service representatives. They migh have a little more info than when u call the 1800 number but not much.

You can ask a tier 2 to do a service request once your case is past normal adjudication range. And they will put in a request to look into why your case isn't adjudicated yet. Then you will get a letter in the mail saying to wait longer and if you don't hear from them in 6 months "you can feel free to call them". Sigh.

Ooh well I guess it's kinda like an info pass. The lady was able to tell me that my case had just arrived to the local office about 3 weeks ago and I should hear from them in 30 to 60 days which is better than 6 months :/

yes, that's what they say. You'll see what happens, though. The "hearing from them in 30 to 60 days" could just be the letter saying to wait 6 more months. Who knows. I pray pray pray that your situation gets fixed ASAP. No one deserves to be put on hold indefinitely. it is awful.

GOOD LUCK AND PRAYERS FOR YOU!!!

So I went to my infopass appointment today, and it went mmm ok, nothing new..

I was expecting a more serious appointment, not just a lady behind a counter...

She basically told me that I need to wait, didn't specify how long, like 30days, 3 months or 6 months even longer.

My case was transferred on June-14th but local office got the case until July-3rd.

She told me there are more cases before me and that no one will interview me and that the reason the move the cases is for all local offices to help with all petitions/cases.

just FYI.

I'm sorry. That's basically what happened at my infopass except the lady did say it would take about 1-2 months for the interview. Idk if she was just trying to give me hope or what. And like ur case it took about a month for them to receive my case after I got the text saying it was transferred. I wish they would speed up. I understand they have a lot of work but i miss my husband and our lives are basically on hold until this gets resolved :/
