thank you for sharing. I have only heard bad stories about the petitioner getting an interview in the usa. Now I have one good story to remember. How did you get noa2 in sept 2011. And now citizenship?

Oh,I was LPR when I filed I-130 for my wife and I still do. I am waiting for my N-400 interview.

WOW never knew they requested petitioners on this end. Kind of cool. You get interviewed and your hunni gets interviewed there. Why doesn't that happen to us all? (Just saying. This seems fascinating I must follow you I am intrigued.

Does your husband have any past ngative history with immigration? Did you include evidence of a bona fide relationship with the petition?

Yes in 2005 he attempted to cross over by dessert. He was caught and fongerprinted and released. He didn't sign anything and they didn't give him any paperwork. I included that in information in the I-130. This was before we evm met and he's back in Mexico now. Now I'm thinking it might just be that we've only been together for 3 years and I'm two years older than him even though he's more mature than me lol

Yea I'm def not excited. I have absolutely nothing to hide but this process is long enough and now having to go thru an extra step is frustrating. I just want to be with my hubby. So considering yourself lucky if u don't have to go thru this extra step

Sent husband's I-130 in September 2011, 6 months later we were sent to our local USCIS office (Chicago). I heard nothing else for a month so I put in a service request at USCIS. a week or so later I got a snail mail saying that our case is still in review and that if we don't hear anything in SIX MONTHS (!!!!!) we can feel free to call them back!

Husband is in removal proceedings so we expected this. It is much easier for us to wait this out since we are together. Can't imagine doing this long distance.

It's the dessert crossing that has blessed you with this I-130 interview. Not how long you've been together or your age.

Sounds like the crossing is the reason. 2 year age difference is not considered abnormal, nor is a 3 year relationship.

It's the dessert crossing that has blessed you with this I-130 interview. Not how long you've been together or your age.

While I agree , whenever I notice a thread about this topic, I wonder why the petitioner is not interviewed. Now that I think more about it, there is an interview with the petitioner for K1 at AOS, and ROC for CR1, or there can be. But this is already after an immigration benefit has been granted

After reading the thread thus far seems that it could be a variety of reasons. Our case was transferred not once but twice at the 4 and 6 month marks. I did an inquiry and they gave me no valid answer just a standard template talking about processing timelines. I never got an RFE or an interview we got approved at the seven month mark then we went forth with NVC.

Miben that gives me hope as my case was transferred today too though I requested an expedite and sent in evidence this week. I sure as hell didn't request expedite for my case to sit on someone's desk for two more months!!

Sorry OP I in no way meant to make light of this situation you have. I was just saying it seemed cool coming from a USC who's husband is in Nigeria. We aren't allowed in embassy and always remark "if only we could talk to CO" and all that.

I agree with the rest and that cross the border incident. You said they took fingerprints than. Have you seen a lawyer and be advised as to your next move? Maybe they should be with you at interview.

You are scaring me now. I just sent in all my documents for expedite request. Please Lord don't tell me I clogged the system. ;(
