Got text and e-mail from USCIS last night...I-130 for my step-daughter got approved in 5 months!!! Can't wait til she gets here.

Could anyone let me know what the next steps are?? And how long it might take??

Congratulations on the I-130 approval!!! Very exciting news! :dance:

I also petitioned my stepdaughter (IR-2 visa). I highly suggest reading this guide.

As the title states, it is primarily intended for spouse (CR-1/IR-1)...but I have found that most of the requirements apply to CR-2/IR-2 as well. I followed this guide precisely and had zero problems. Please read it thoroughly. The fees may have changed, but the process is still the same. An important piece of advice (especially at NVC): Be proactive with the process. Never wait till NVC sends you documents. Call NVC everyday to find the latest status on your case.
