hi! I'm applying for citizenship and I'd lived outside U.S. for more than 6 months (less than a year). Do I need to write down the address of abroad in form N400 where they asked to write down the address where you lived since last five years? My trip was just a visit but because it was longer than 6 months does it require to mention that address where i stayed (outside U.S.)? pls. help......thnx

no.

you list it as a trip, in the section where it asks you about travel.

Have you confirmed that you meet the requirements? They can be found here

5 years as a Permanent Resident without leaving the United States for trips of 6 months or longer.

If the OP can prove that he maintained his ties to the US while he was away for longer than 6 months but less than a year, he is able to apply. USCIS wants proof of that in the form of tax transcripts, utility bills, mortgage/lease payments etc. He must also explain why he was away for more than 6 months.

This is correct. He does not list it as an "address". It is a visit (or whatever, attending school for example) and should be listed in the travel section.
