after interview, will they take my passport?

I'm traveling with my passport for my interview today. just wondering how can I travel back without my passport? I'm having only working permit in Canada :-)

Will be nice if they'll give me back the passport right away.... I'll ask them after that but would like to know if it happened to anyone here before?

They will need to keep your passport in order to print the visa in it. :yes: There isn't another way to do it, unfortunately. I'm not sure where you're interviewing in Canada, but I got mine back from Montreal in one week. I'm not sure where you need to "travel back" to so I'm not sure how to answer that part. If you're staying within Canada until you POE, you won't need your passport before then so I wouldn't worry. :)
