Is this correct? If your married, then you need the K-1 visa and if your are engaged, then you need the I 129 visa.

I am just making sure of what I need to get the process going!

The I 129 is not the visa it is the form that you fill out to apply for the K-1 fiance visa. If you are marry I believe you fill out the I 130 Form to file for CR-1. I you are marry you CANNOT file for a K-1 Visa.

You are a bit confused and need to read the guides here to assist you. If you wish to marry in the US then you file the 129 form, and all the other papers that go with it, to apply for a K1 visa. If you wish to marry in your fiancee's country, or any other country, then you file the 130 form requesting the CR1 visa.

I have viewed the forms. I am just making sure that I fill out the right forms for the visa! Thanks for the info anyway!
