I have not gotten NOA2 yet, but I'd like to get all the documents ready once I receive the NOA2. I'd like to get anyone input whether to send original or certified copies especially those that I require from my wife.

Documents to be sent to NVC by beneficiary:

a. 2 Passport-sized photographs of the beneficiary

b. Completed and signed form DS-230 Part 1 by the beneficiary

c. Completed and 'unsigned' form DS-230 Part 2 by the beneficiary

d. Photocopy of the biographic data page of the beneficiary's passport

e. Original/Certified birth certificate of the beneficiary

f. Original/Certified marriage certificate of the beneficiary and the petitioner

g. 1 set Photocopy of all the above civil documents

Question for item a, e and f.

Item a)

Is it necessary to take another photograph if its more than 6 months? I still have some extra photos from previously sent for I-130.

Item e) and f)

During USCIS, I sent the copies that is notarized and translated by a translator to english. Now that it is okay to use documents on official language where the visa would be applied, is it better to send the original copies then? I assume the translated documents is not good since it's not a certified copies issued by the issuing authority. Another option is to have my wife to goto issuing authority and make a certified copies. In Indonesia, certified copies are made by making exact photocopy (like putting on xerox) then have the issuing authority sign and stamp. Is that good enough?

In short, should I send original, translated documents (certified by translator), or make photocopy that is signed and stamped by issuing authority?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you need new original passport photos, and copies for the photocopy set of all docs.

E and F, as stated you need EITHER the original or a certified copy.

Not necessary at this point to send translations. Im my case, the translation is attached to the Apostillized and Certified copy of out Marriage Certificate along with certification by translation school of Argentina. Its all stapled together so I will just send it as is.

Hope that helps. Good luck!!
