Hello, everyone! I have a question and would really appreciate if you could help me with some info. I got my NOA today for N-400 I've recently submitted and it is printed on a plain A4 white paper??? I used to always get it on a greenish thick sheet of paper - the official paper of USCIS?? The content is the same as of regular NOAs, I checked, but I don't understand why it wasn't printed on their official paper? Has anyone got anything like that? Does it mean anything? I am really confused, please help! Thank you!

If the USCIS was paying 1.1 million bucks for printedI-797C forms, they were really getting screwed. But so much for a government that pays 800 bucks for a toilet seat or ten bucks for a roll of toilet paper!

But why not, they are already making us print out all of their forms, if they had any brains, wouldn't even mail you out a copy for biometrics or your interview. Would just email you a pdf file and make you print it out yourself.

Computers, printers, and the internet really changed how a business or how we can operate at home, in particular with the government. Today, its darn near impossible to find preprinted state or federal tax forms, plus their huge books of instructions. Have to download these and print them out for yourself. Paper, toner, cartridges are extremely expensive, Made in China, don't last very long, and if they do last, are made obsolete by new operating systems.

I don't even see how its possible to deal with the USCIS without a computer, keep on changing everything every five minutes. Then you have to pay outrageous internet charges as well. In a business with many forms required, far cheaper to job it out to a commercial printer, but then dealing with an outfit that has got to show a profit to stay alive.

Just gave a professional printer I paid over $4,000.00 for, excellent condition, but was happy someone would take it without charging me a recycling charge. Still worked with Windows 3.1, but no drivers for it, and you can't download any forms with Windows 3.1, Adobe keeps on changing their format every year. All in all, we sent about a thousand sheets to the USCIS. If you really want to read a bad joke, read their paperwork reduction act in their N-400 instructions.

We could have just as easily emailed all these forms and evidence, we do this in daily business now, and even have video conferences to save on airline cost. Hell, could have saved close to 5,000 miles of driving by doing that.

When my wife first came here was working for patient assistance at our hospital, she would interview the patients, explain the questions, do all that typing, contact various governmental agencies and insurance companies, and even had to verify if that patient was providing the correct information. This was done at no charge to the patient. Plus that, everything we had to go through for the USCIS was presented to them on a silver platter, then they charged us outrageous fees. With what they thought were problems, we had to get the proof of that, at our expense, whether these problems were real or not.

I really hate dealing with our government.

True. But you're not required by law to have an email address. Even if it was, USCIS will not send out any sensitive information through email. Would be neat if they'd accept online submissions (through their webpage) of certain forms/evidence and then provide them with the original paperwork at interviews(like the way it's done with the i-94), and online payment as well. As long as they keep the "customers who bought i-129f petition also bought..." away from the webpage. :)
