I'm the petitioner, but my fiance is carrying on with his life as usual, because obviously he won't know for sure if/when he's leaving Uganda until the interview (or after). We're planning in general terms for when we will be together, but trying not to take anything for granted. Keeping busy is the best way to (partially) avoid being frustrated about all the waiting, I'm finding! Makes the time go faster, for sure.

I've spent all my time finding out next steps, making sure I have as much in savings as possible to cover the next fee I have to pay when we get to interview, and then to cover the payment for Adjustment of Status, and knowing I can't work for a good few months,

Tying up loose ends, working out what we actually have to do for AOS.... there's a big long road to travel here!

My life/schedule really hasn't changed all that much. I work, spend time with family and friends- the usual routine that I've been doing for the last 3 years, the only thing thats changed is what me and my fiancee now talk about on our daily calls :P. it's not so much "what did you have for supper?" but more " and did you hear from the lawyer?" :) The way I figure it is- I've survived in a long distance relationship for 3 years... a couple of more months won't change that!!!

when we were going through the process I would past interview reviews for my consulate and I would read all the guides here just to make sure I was well versed in the next step.
