Hey. What proof of identity did you include for your wife? ITIN for my spouse was rejected and they have asked me to provide photo identification. I sent my wife's notarized passport, I thought that was enough?

Could you please tell me what you sent with it? Thanks.

I got RFE when I send a copy of passport page. I sent the original passport. Problem solved.

IRS is pretty fast, I just received my spouse ITIN in only 16 days that I apply with my 2011 Tax return.

Thanks IRS.

I am so confused about mine. I sent in the original passport and orginal marriage book. I got them back in the mail in exactly 14 days, but now it has been 17 days and I still have not received his ITIN number or my refund in my bank account. I am definitely having to learn patience through this entire process.

you'll get:

1. ITIN in a form, nice purple background, and later

2. refund.

wait a bit more, aye?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
