Thanks, Sai. Have you checked your case status online? A decision should hopefully be made on your application very soon.

Updates to application statuses are made on the CLAIMS processing system every evening. I got a text and email update at 7:30 pm yesterday. Expect any updates to your application status around that time. Good luck!

To celebrate a positive development in my case, I've decided to run the half marathon on Memorial Day. Now, I just need to convince myself to get off the couch. Maybe tomorrow!

Congratulations Anil...My PD is Same sa yours but haven't heard anything yet.

Congrats! and Good luck who got the approval. If vermont service center has started processing I130 for PR again that's really a good news. i am crossing my finger. But guys, one question, why didn't uscis update its processing time information yet on their website?? :bonk: It still show Jan 23, 2011. Does it mean service center's guys are lazy? that's why they are moving or rather not moving their :bonk: and not processing our cases in time?

well, they havent updated the processing time for march yet, But anyways just keep looking for when ever your case get touched because its better to look at that than the processing time, But its always a good a idea to look at the processing time once in while to see if they are beyond your processing time so you can file a service request right away !!!! Good luck !!!

DemRa,

I agree with what Jrh39 stated above. Just want to add my 2 cents.

The processing times published in February 2013 are "as of December 31, 2012". Our cases (PDs in late Jan and early Feb 2011) got approved in mid-March 2013. When the next processing times list is published sometime this month, it will be "as of Jan 31, 2013". For F2A, I expect it to still stay stagnant at Jan 23, 2011. It will be the same date for the following list to be published in April because it will be "as of Feb 28, 2013" by then.

The best way to keep track is to check on fellow members in VJ and their approval timelines. For example, you know that as of March 2013, they have advanced at least a few weeks, if not more.

When I first applied for my employment based greencard (in my previous life), I used to be able to see dates whenever my application was touched. Unfortunately, that cannot be done anymore. My case status showed a "last touched" date of sometime last year (when I updated my address) up until the approval date. They do not make frequent case updates each day on their CLAIMS system. There is a USCIS Stakeholders Meeting Notes somewhere that states that case updates are made once a day usually in the evenings. I got my text and email update at 7:30 pm.

One more point and I am done. The Service Centers have employed different game plans so far. Up until a year ago, they documentarily approved cases and sent them to the NVC to be stored until the priority date is close to being current. This game plan stopped early last year. After that, they changed their plan and shelved all F2A applications. Their new plan is to approve cases that are close to being current. I am hoping my PD (Feb 3, 2011) becomes current sometime in June/July. This explains why they approved my case this month.

Best approach while you wait? Track approvals on this site and do your best to ask people to fill their timelines. Start with yours :-).

Anil

Thanks jrh39 and anil for your reply. As you guys said, everything must be going good out there. And Saiangel, did you got the approval from VSC as you were saying that yours and anil's PD is same (Feb 3)??? I think more people should start filling their timeline and approval date as anil said. So we can get the idead about our own case approval time. Good luck to everyone.
