Just tried checking and one USCIS site said June 2011 and the other gave me a 500 internal server error report. This is really not what I wanted to see at the end of a very long Monday :(

It's a glitch. One user had a Congressman call and confirm. I was going over something with the attorney I used for this process (unrelated issue to processing time) but they also checked and confirmed via telephone. It is 5 months estimated processing time for I-129F. December I-129F approvals have remained relatively consistent with one even occurring today. If you look at the number approved based on VJ timelines (including those that received RFEs), more than half for the month have been processed in some way. If we could average just 2 approvals a day for the next two weeks, VSC would be just about through the December submissions (at least those for which users created timelines). There is absolutely nothing to indicate that such a significant slow down would be possible right now. All the data from the past indicates that this is the time of the year adjudication often accelerates for both service centers.

Figured as much, but hearing people called and confirmed just made my night a little better. Thanks for the update :)

Yes. that's weird that they would give contradictory responses. did they specify I-129F or CR1 - I-130? Or maybe it's for people filing now? I can't imagine why it would suddenly be a 2 month delay when VSC has worked through a considerable number of the December petitions.

Ha. I agree with you there. and yes. I might try to call tomorrow if I have time. It seems almost impossible to get a consistent answer, so I honestly think watching the timelines might be our best method of gauging what the heck is going on. I would think they're well beyond September with the number of December petitions that have been approved...Guess we can only watch and wait. Much better luck predicting the weather than figuring out this process. It's a bureaucratic nightmare.

Seriously though, these conflicting reports constitutes cruel and unusual punishment. They need to get it together. 5 months is already too long a time for approval and anything longer is simply unfair.

I'll be watching. and refreshing. and praying. AND DRINKING.

I agree completely. With the modern technology available today, there should be ways to process these petitions in an efficient manner. It's very disappointing too because this is usually the time of the year when they have the fastest adjudication rates and the fewest number of petitions submitted. It just defies all logic. Things were moving at a relatively stable pace. Unless they had some sort of computer melt down....which if that's the case...God help us all...Just going to pray that we continue to see some December petitions approved this week and the next....if not...then...I guess our question is answered.

It seems that every USCIS caller gets a different response. The responses are arbitrary, and I don't think we can trust the accuracy.
