Hey Guys

I know I am new to posting in this forum, I have been following for a while now. And just wondering, when you update info on members, and when you update the Approve status, is that the date that the actual approval letter came in? or when you got the online card production email? Cuz from what I read, i think its both? because I see after the email it takes 1-2 weeks to receive the card. But does anyone have any idea how long I wait for the card after i receive the actual approval case letter from USCIS? I am in Vermont processing since I am from NYC, USCIS received my applications May 18, 2012 and I received the approval letter January 26th 2013, "congratulations your application to adjust status has been approved, you should receive your card shortly. If you do not recieve your card within 60days please contact.... etc" Well I called a few days ago but they told me it hasent been a full 60 days and to call back monday. So i am planning to do that , just wondering what are your thoughts about this situation based on any of your experience.

Now they send the card via usps priority mail with a tracking number, with that tracking number you should be able to know when you would receive the card, usually the usps priority service takes about 2 days at most. Your case is rare, besides calling the them, you can also go visit your local office to find out what might be happening. You may use on line infopass booking system to reserve a time slot with your local office or just simply walk in (I never tried walk in without a infopass printout though, but heard you may do so)

I'm very confused: I'm still on "Initial Review" when I check my case status at USCIS, and it hasn't been touched since June 2012. Yet I received an RFE and sent it two months ago.

What should I do?

You should call them to get a service request so at least you may receive an email to tell you how long more you would need to wait for their further action. You should expect something very soon, I am one of the june filer, also received rfe in Feb. Got approved 3 days ago. Two things you can do: 1 call them, 2 go visit local office through infopass booking system.

I'm guessing our address change somehow gummed up the system, since our status is still 'initial review' online with the verbage about having changed our address on Feb 27th. I still have 2.5 weeks to wait before I can call them on it.

Well yea I thought I had to wait a long time for any response. But once i called they told me to call in a week because after 45 days they could send the notification to the local office.. but when I called another person it needs to be 60 days ugh. From my experience those customer care people who first answer the phone sometimes know less about the whole process than us..

Well anyway when i called about 65 days after the letter, i got the first rep but he connected me to a higher up rep after about 30 min of hold time, and he told me he would send a letter to the local office. And 5 days later I received an email that my card was in production. And then 4 days ltr I recieved a number that USPS had picked it up and they sent me a tracking number and that I should get it within 7 days.

As for the change of address I wouldnt worry, Did you get an email confirming the change of adres about 2 days after changing? ANd did you get a letter from them already at your new address?

Because the same day I called them to follow up, i also changed my address online and was adfraid that would be a problem but so far so good. I will update when i receive the green card.

SO today i received my greencard, so 9 days after I called to inquire about my case.

But if you havent gotten it by now, you might have gotten stuck in the system like me? and I would probably try and call, the good news if that after calling you can get it resolved pretty quickly. Even with any address changes.

Wow, there's still people talking on this thread. Makes me so happy to see some life here. We just responded to our RFE last week, so hopefully, what we sent will suffice. If not, then I guess there's interviews and stokes and immigration court and the Wheel of Fortune. Good grief.
