Today done early bio and got a 551 stamp on the passport. Somehow they took my GC which will expire early August. Now will wait at least 6 more months before anything happens.

/: Sooooo! You're NOT gonna believe what came in the mail today? 2 days before my trip? After performing the following:

-Since my green card took a tour across the entire nation because they failed to register my change of address, and we moved again, I filled for a change of address 7 months before we submitted the Removal of Conditions package.

-A few months after I did that, they sent me a letter reminding me about sending the Removal of Conditions application. Here's the funny part: not to my current address, or the address before that, but to the FIRST address we ever lived in. Thank God it's my mother in Law's and she sent me that letter.

-Terrified that they did'nt register our current address YET AGAIN....I called the customer service, and was told by a representative I should make an info-pass in order to confirm that the USCIS has my current address, because "the application AR-11 you sent, could have been lost in the mail". So I did. I talked to this representative who SAW my information online and confirmed our current address.

-At this point y'all pretty much know the rest of the story: got no NOA 1, so had to make an info-pass, get my passport stamped and did my biometrics early.

AND the frigg'ng NOA1 arrives in the mail today!!!!??????

BUT: the funny part? The sent me an AR-11, so I can properly filled because they claim THEY DO NOT HAVE MY CURRENT ADDRESS!!!! >:/ AND they attached the envelope they used to send it to my CURRENT address with an "undeliverable" stamp on it!!!! :DD

No comments really! I can't make sense of it. Anyways...on the positive side, I am traveling with the NOA and the stamp....just in case...just in case! ;)

Words cannot describe the level of incompetence and lack of integrated work .....i read your note twice and am still shaking my head. soooo did the NOA1 come to your current address or old one? wonder if there's hope for the NOA1 coming here.

There are so many great reasons to never have to deal with what appears to be a dog and pony show. I mean, when I moved here to immigrate, they had the day before on their stamp and it shows that i came the day before I actually got here! left hand doesn't seem to know what the right hand is doing. and yet these are the ones that hold your fate in their hands, at least temporarily.

what a bizarre story. glad you got the NOA1 !!! :bonk:

Hello, People.

Wondering if you guys are experiencing the same issue as I do.

Are you guys able to check the status online? I received NOA, still waiting for bio appointment letter.

But on the uscis website, when i tried to check on status, it shows that the case is not there....

Is this normal?

Also, I'm receiving weird letter from National Visa center saying that they are unable to process my inquiry that has been forwarded by US Department of Homeland Security. I'm not sure if this is even related to the I-751 package.

I'm trying to contact their customer service, but unable to find the option to talk to real person. Does anyone have the information for this?

Thank you

I'm still waiting for my biometric too and experiencing the same issue. I tried to get my correct case status by calling the USCIS hotline, but I was really disappointed. I was waiting for 30 mins and got disconnected from their line.

Anyways I tried to google on how to decode USCIS case receipt number. I originally posted the link here but it is being removed.

I was able to retrieve a case number that I'm going to compare once my biometric letter arrived.

Hi Guys,

I've been a longtime member, but have not really posted in the forums. Could you add me to the list too? I mailed our package to VSC on May 17th, we received our NOA on May 27th but it was dated May 21st. We have a little dilemma though. We haven't received our biometrics letter yet and we're traveling to Italy in July. Should we try to make an infopass or get the biometrics done early without a letter? Any help you could give would be most helpful.

Sincerely,

Stephanie

Hi Stephanie,

we are in the same boat. Mailed our package on the 16th, got our NOA in June and still have not received a bio appointment. I can only imagine that they are backed up since there webpage is still showing that they are working on I-751's from back in August of 11. I am going to try and reach out this week to UCIS and see if I can get an answer or maybe try a walk in. We shall see.

Did you say they sent two?? Huh? Besides, it appears many people completed AR 11s and the reminder letter went to people's initial addresses; such was the case for us. We submitted a change of address forms (one for me, one for my wife/citizen) a week or less after we moved to our address. The biometrics letter came to the correct address but the reminder didn't. I do hope I get the NOA1 because it really would make things a lot less troublesome, in our case. AND if these guys CAN resend NOA1s why can't they simply resend one once someone calls complaining of not receiving it? I appreciate they are busy but when I look back and count up all the errors made on this journey, I'm struck by how disconnected things appear to be. I can think of at least four errors...on the other hand, it's always sunny in Arizona

Yeah South 16th Street is the address.

You don't need to cancel the original biometrics schedule if you have yours done earlier. Just don't worry about showing up on the original date since they already have your bio records taken.

Yours wont expire until in two months, you still have all the time to wait for the NOA. Mine expires this month so I needed to asked for extension and tried asking for early biometrics as well in which they granted.

Here's to hoping to no RFE and no Interview!:)

Goodluck to you!

Hi Vanessa, I went to that office Jun 18th to have my passport stamped as no NOA1 arrived. I asked them about the possibility of doing the biometeric early; my appt is June 28th. The guy made a call and asked but they wouldn't do it because it was Monday and they were very busy. They suggested keeping the appt I have....I thought about possibly going in at another time to see but decided against it thinking without an appt letter they may not let me through security....sounds like this is what happened to you. Mine is Thurs forthcoming, so I'll wait it out. Do you have a scheduled appointment?

Hello! I have a question for you - I am actually a June Filer as my papers were received June 1st, I have received the NOA, but no biometrics appointment. I see there are still a lot of people waiting for theirs as well. For those of you who have gotten your appointments, how long did it take after the NOA arrived? We filed at the Vermont center fyi.

Thanks!
