I-751 May 2012 Filers

Hello everyone, i am new here and i wish i knew this website when i started my journey too.

Like some members here, my package was received on may 02 2012. The bad thing is that i used post office money order instead of personal cheque, so i cant tell if they have cashed or not ( am mad now that i used money order, that was my friend advice who went thorugh the same process before).

My package was sent to VSC.

What i included on my package was:

*Money order $590 along with the form I751 signed by both.

*copies of utility bill showing both of our names

*Joint bank account statement

* copies of our credit cards and debit card showing our names on the same account.

*copies of our cars insurance showing same policy and car title showing both name sof ownership.

* copy of our lease.

*copy our child birth certificate

*affidavit letters from relatives and family friends

*Photos of family vacations, holiday dinners with relatives, and other events.

*copies of tax returs for 2010 n 2011.

I cant remember if there was any other stuff i sent but looks here people have sent more stuff and am worried. What do you all think about my evidence?, plus i thought cause we have a baby together that should be strong enough to convince them.

Now am waiting like anyone else and am wishing you all the best.

Hello everyone! Please include as one of the May Filers. Hoping to send mine tomorrow! My packet includes:

• Application fee - $590 (Filing fee plus Biometrics fee)

• Copy of Permanent Residence Card (front and Back)

Evidence Of Relationship

• Copies of Income tax return, filing jointly for the year 2010-2011
• Copy of our tax transcript from IRS, filing jointly for the year 2010-2011
• Copy of our residential lease showing joint occupancy.
• Copy of our bank statements showing joint Checking and Savings account at Notre Dame Federal Credit Union.
• Copies of our Sam’s Club and our (VISA) credit cards showing a joint account.
• Copies of my wife’s company benefits and insurance showing my name as dependent and beneficiary.
• Copy of my retirement account and life insurance showing my wife as a beneficiary.
• Copy of our car insurance card.
• Copies of our airline boarding pass showing we traveled together last April 2010 and April 2012.
• Copies of greeting cards from family and photos from different occasions.
• Affidavits sworn by two people.

I sent my package on April 30th, they receive it on may 2nd(I used priority mail).

Today 5/7/12 I received NOA letter the date shown is 5/3/12. The letter indicates the one year extension and I should wait for biometric later.

Does this mean I have been approved for the ROC or just indicating they are processing my request?

The NOA just means that they are working on your ROC and that they will send you a date for your biometrics soon. It won't be until after you've completed your biometrics that your ROC will be approved.

If they don't think you were able to successfully prove your relationship they may ask for more evidence, or an interview.

Hi Everyone,

My wife's GC expires on 8/5/2012, and we just sent our ROC package yesterday (5/7/2012).

We included:

• Cover Letter
  
• Payment of $590
  
• Completed I-751 form
  
• Copy of passport
  
• Copy of Green Card (front & back)
  
• Tax transcripts of joint tax returns 2010 + 2011
  
• Copy of deed to our townhouse, showing joint ownership
  
• Copies of last 3 months mortgage statements, showing joint ownership
  
• Copies of last 3 months bank statements for 3 separate bank accounts, all showing joint ownership
  
• Copies of all our credit cards, showing same account number for both names on each card
  
• Copies of health insurance cards
  
• Copy of auto insurance statement
  
• Copy of auto insurance cards
  
• Copy of my workplace benefit details, showing my wife as beneficiary for life insurance, 401k, and AD&D
  
• About 5 photos of us over the last 2 years
  

I'm pretty sure that should cover all our bases. Now it's just playing the waiting game.

Just as an example, my wife's friend sent in her I-751 about a month and half ago. Only thing she sent in as proof of relationship was a statement of a joint bank account.

When she got her NOA, they asked for her to bring more evidence when she goes in for her bio appt.
