After weeks of gathering all our forms and evidence for the petition, I mailed our i-129f this morning! I thought I'd feel relieved it's finally on its way, but now I'm nervous I've forgotten something, although I checked the package about 50 times and followed all the instructions and advice on VJ ;) Just wondering if anyone else out there sent theirs recently too, as I'm sure I'm driving my fiancé mad with worrying about it all!

well done :) the first step behind you now comes the big wait! Don't worry, although it feels like forever now, it will fly by at no time! I can't believe it's been over 3 months for me, it felt like years at the beginning but when I look at it now, it flew by pretty fast... 2 more months and I can be expecting some news, hopefully earlier!Good luck and a speedy approval! :)

P.S. I felt like I forgot about something too but there's no point in stressing out. We will find out if/when we get a RFE. By then think posiitive and keep busy :)

I sent my 129F in Sept 2011 and got approval in Mar 2012. If you forgot something they will send a RFE (Request For Evidence). I got one and had about 3 months to respond with the requested evidence. Got the RFE in Feb, sent everything back and had approval in Mar. As long as you respond promptly it doesn't add much delay. If you get one don't panic and don't rush though, make sure to send exactly what they ask for so you can be approved. Welcome to the waiting game, try to relax (you won't but try lol), it's a long process but I've found it's not so bad just really frustrating and hard not to panic because it's so important.

We filed our I-129f the first week of January. I am thinking that by the time we're finally approved (which hopefully will happen BEFORE I TURN SIXTY!!) I might actually know what AOS stands for, what "biometrics" are, and what all the other Visa slang words actually mean. :)

Haha i feel exactly the same!

This forum was so helpful filing the petition, so so helpful! I feel very lucky we found it before we filed to take notice of all the tips posted. However I agree I need to calm down a bit from checking it all the time, as it's making me more nervous than I probably need to be and we have a long wait to go...

Good luck too :)

There is an April Filers thread HERE so we can follow the progress of the folks somewhat on the same time line.
