OK.... Either I am very lucky or spending sleepless nights rolling around worrying pays off.

I just got the approval letter for my wife's I-130 petition. Five months and seven days later.

On to the next step.....

I wish everyone on here the best of luck with your situations.

Clenching your jaw really hard and holding your breath seems to do nothing but it feels like it should

It took us 7.5 months to get through CSC... no RFEs.

I don't know if it helped, but it made me feel better to call the offices of my congressman and senators. They will each have a staff member who addresses immigration issues, and they can actually call CSC and speak to someone there who knows what's going on. After I called, we got approval within two weeks. That could have just been a coincidence though!

Posting here earlier proved to be lucky for me...I've just received an email notification that the case is approved and online status is showing as "Post decision activity".

I wish and pray that all of you who are waiting would pass through this step quickly! :)

According to Igor, CSC has now processed 50% of November petitions.. Meaning if you adjust for non-updaters the real number is more likely around 70% ish. A large number was approved this past Friday, so it means the CSC is working relatively quick. Hopefully they'll keep up the pace for a few more months..

We'll see the first CSC December approvals this week, and there were less petitions filed in December than the previous months, so I'm rather optimistic for Jan and Feb filers.

*knock on wood*
