I can understand the hesitation of not wanting USCIS or anyone else who may or may not interpret your Facebook postings and the like.

I submitted our 2003 Facebook email logs which is 759 pages(saving for interview)

However looking at my wall and my husbands first we aren't friends on Facebook because frankly Facebook isn't our life. We never went posting on each others walls with declarations of love so does that mean to immigration we aren't real.

We meet on Facebook over 2 and 1/2 years ago and we both use Facebook and our audience for different reasons. I love my groups and expressing my views. He is an artist and also has a business.

Yeah, so Facebook does not necessarily have to make or break a Petitioner/Beneficiary's case. I had the crazy thought after reading a case on here where a beneficiary was denied because of his Fiance's Facebook page proved her to be a flirt. :(

I think some who fall under suspicion Facebook, their emails may have busted their case. Its like that "thing" the CO doesn't say. I mean they don't say "hey you were denied cuz we read your love ones emails or saw their other identity on Facebook". It would be nice if we had full-disclosure at interviews as the Petitioner and Beneficiary for that matter to know whats up.

But dang a flirt...oooops!

I suggest signing up for a second FB account and looking at your wall to see what is really public, then change posts to public that will benefit your application. Despite having my settings set to private, I had a lot of things that were out in public.

You really think ANYTHING we do online is private from the government? If it goes into the ether, it's out there someplace and if they want it, they can surely track it down. It's always best to assume that ANYTHING you put out there on the internet will be seen by other people at some point, no matter how private you might think it is.

I agree with the earlier posters concerning where as if you have nothing to hide then what's the problem. All I see it as is to help my case. Ya know what. I mean. I would think that it would illustrate more than enough proof.

Okay, here ya go... 5 minutes before the fiance(e) interview, an ex-wife/GF/BF/admirer/family member/troll/spurned lover/prankster/other idiot posts the following:

"Why are you abandoning me and our 2 children? We're STILL MARRIED and I can't believe you're running off with him/her and just leaving us! You're such a bigamist!"

Explain that to the CO. Expect delays while it all gets sorted out.

May your visa journey be smooth and speedy.

Straightshooter all I can say is daaaaannnnnnnnngggggg! Woooo weeeee that would be a mess. And as much as I have nothing to hide I wouldn't want no one reading my private emails (post sure) cuz interpretation is what 2/10th of the law. :)

I recall that something like that happened here on VJ a few months back. A thread was started where a person had pulled a joke on a friend on FB and made some inappropriate comment and it caused problems. People think they're being funny and the Petitioner/Beneficiary pay the price. Of course, that doesn't include the really vindictive types. And there is no recourse. Once it's out there for the CO to see, it's done.

Just to also add you send in passport photos in as well so they can confirm through email and ur photos.....

What about peeps who have alias profiles on Facebook? Somebody can steel your identity and open up a Facebook account with the intent to slander you.
