VJ Friends as some of you know i have my interview date or May...i booked my flight for santo domingo from Baltimore stopping at Miami...I want to buy my comeback flight because it will probably be super expensive...but i do want to come back with hubby, so im planning to stay for about a week later after the interview...do you think he will be fine with POE at Miami???? although we are taking another flight to Baltimore??i need help...

June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!

September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!

April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)

July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

I'm assuming its a connecting flight. It shouldn't be a problem. The only problem that may occur depends on how long it takes to get through Customs because you don't want to miss you connecting flight to Baltimore. He will be entering for the 1st time and sometimes you have to wait a bit for them to file everything. Besides that he should be fine.

K1 Visa Process -> 12/09-06/10 Married -> 09/10/10 AOS Process -> 09/10-12/10 Removal of Conditions-> 09/12-07/13

U.S. Naturalization -> 7/8/20

its four hours in between so im guessing they shouldnt take more than two hours

A few years ago my husband came through Miami by himself, no problems. The visa might take longer than a week. My experience was a while ago but I think it took more like 10 days to get the visa in the mail. But it seems you are in Santiago so I think you can actually pick it up in Santiago. My husband is from outside Puerto Plata so they mailed it. Hope that helps. Good luck.

Four hours should be good enough between the two flights. I'd like to buy our return tickets as well, it's really stressing me out! But I'd hate to buy a ticket a week from the interview and then not have the visa ready by then. I can't imagine the crazy fees I will have to pay to change the flights.

steph i already bought the return flight im thinking that it would beless changing it thaan buying it so i dont know i will be positive that eveyrhting will be fine..ive noticed that K1 delay more than CR1 im hoping my thought is right because i want to see how is going to be his first time in a plane lol..aneways vamos aver que pasa corazonn but im really ready to go and see the hubby and see you guys too:)

HEY MARIEL!!! I am doing POE at MIA too and read thru the POE REVIEWS... it seems that if you are coming in on a weekday then there is no delays but weekends seems to take 2-3 hours due to all the traveler traffic. Best of luck!
