Where can I see the 'Last Updated' 'touch' on my USCIS account?

Hi all,

Where exactly will the 'Last Updated' info be displayed on your case status in your USCIS account? How do I check if the 'Last Upated' info has been posted? Is this what is called 'Touch'?

The Journey

Arrived on F1 visa on 25 Dec 2008. Graduated June 2011. Started OPT Sep 2011.

AOS applied March 21, 2012. GC approved June 11, 2012 & received June 18, 2012.

Exactly three months from start to finish,no RFEs.

AOS Timeline:

Day 01,March 21, 2012: Concurrent filing of I-130/AOS/EAD/AP to Chicago Lockbox

Day 02,March 22, 2012: Package delivered to Chicago Lockbox

Day 04,March 24, 2012: USCIS Acceptance Confirmation received through e-mail

Day 07,March 27, 2012: Checks cashed.

Day 13,April 02, 2012 : NOAs received for I-130,I-485,EAD/AP & Biometrics

Day 36,April 25, 2012 : Biometrics Completed at Elizabeth, NJ.

Day 45,May 04, 2012 : E-mail notification for interview received for June 11

Day 46,May 05, 2012 : Received hard copy of interview notice

Day 56,May 16, 2012 : EAD/AP Production e-mail

Day 64,May 24, 2012 : EAD/AP Card in hand

Day 83,June 11,2012 : Interview. Approved same day. Card production email.

Day 84,June 12,2012 : E-mail Notification registering PR status.

Day 87,June 15,2012 : USPS picks up GC from USCIS.

Day 88,June 16,2012 : Received two hard copy mails, approving I-130 & I-485

Day 90,June 18,2012 : 10-year GC in hand. End of GC journey, for now.

Have you applied for E-notification? If yes, then you will receive text/email with every update.

3/23/2012 (Day 0) - I-130, I-485 and I-765 sent
4/02/2012 (Day 11) - Hard Copy of NOA1 in the mail of I-130, I-485 and I-765
4/04/2012 (Day 13) - Received a letter for biometrics appointment for 4/20/2012.
4/20/2012 (Day 29) - Biometrics done
5/03/2012 (Day 42) - Status online changed to interview, scheduled for June 11
5/16/2012 (Day 55) - EAD Card Production, online status update
5/24/2012 (Day 63) - EAD Card in the mail
6/11/2012 (Day 83) - Interview, approved on the spot

05/19/2014 (Day 0) - Mailed I-751

05/27/2014 (Day 8) - Received NOA1

Yes, I have signed up for e-notification. Am not sure if that would notify me of an RFE as well, in case I get one.

It will notify you every time your case is updated. Just have to wait for it. You will receive an email, and later a hard copy receipt with details.

They can "touch" your process without send a notification. A touch It only means that someone looked at your file. Every time a "decision" (or an update) is made in your case (like the RFE) you will get a notification by email and text message(if you sign up for the service online)

 

12-2011 We got Married!

2/3/2012 AOS Package sent (I-130, I-485, I-765)

2/6/2011 I-130,I485 and I-765 received at USCIS

2/10/2012 I-130,I485,I-765 Touched

2/16/2012 NOA 1 Received(I-130, I-485, I-765)

2/17/2012 Biometrics Letter(Original App. date: 03/05/12)

2/17/2012 Biometrics Walk in

3/09/2012 I-485 Touched

3/09/2012 Text Message/email received for RFE - I485 :(

3/19/2012 RFE hard copy received

3/20/2012 Replied RFE

3/26/2012 RFE Response Review

4/10/2012 EAD card in Production!

4/13/2012 NEW Interview date - April 30th!!!!!

"Where" you can see it; Right when you log into your account on USCIS, you'll see your portfolio ("number of cases"). The date there is the last day it's been touched. I wouldn't put too much joy into it when they moved a box/your petition around. Go by when your case is updated with a new case status. That's the most relevant anyways. :) Click the case number on the portfolio and it'll take you to your current status.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

Thanks, all. Look like my case hasn't been 'touched' for a while, am waiting to get my biometrics done this Wednesday. Keeping fingers crossed for a smooth passage.

Just a side note - my status didn't update after biometrics app. in case you'll be wondering about that. If you have the appointment letter, you can try a walk-in(going days before). Sometimes they accept it, depends on the office/center.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011
