ok so from my understanding is if your apply for the Form I-485 which is the AOS you need to have an medical exam done.

So my question is: if my fiance entered the US on a k1 visa and did his medical exam in Cuidad Juarez( expect the vaccination). Would he have to take a other medical exam???

i had read that he doesn't have to take one if Form I-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination.

Is this true???

Hi, what he needs it's to find a civil surgeon (authorized by USCIS)who fills out the I-693 form and transcripts all his vaccinations(doctors already have this form so your fiancé wouldn't have to print it out).

Tell your fiancé to bring all his vaccinations records when he travel to USA so that he shows them to the doctor.

Here it's a link to find a civil surgeon in your city:

When you use the civil surgeon, shop around. I found that some do not know what to do. Some wanted to charge me a lot of money. Some wanted to do a fully medical exam. Your fiance does not need a full medical exam. I think anything dealing with immigration is a magnet for scams. This include doctors and lawyers.

The doctor will fill out the form, sign and stamp it. Then seal the envelope. Do not open the envelope. Send it in closed with your application. Get a copy of the completed medical form before the doctor closes the envelope. (Demand a copy) It is your right. Keep it for your records.

One more thing. The doctor will give your fiance any missing vaccinations. Ask how much it cost before going.

Good luck
