Hi friends on VJ,

Returning back after long time. Here's my story:

I immigrated to USA in Nov 2009 and applied for my (now 20 year old) son (F2A PD 12/19/2009). Hopefully he'll be current next month. His case has already been completed at NVC in 12/2010 (before retrogression) and we are just waiting for an interview date hopefully.

My big concern is about my daughter (now 23 year old). F2B category is really lagging behind (?7 years wait). Is there any other way to get her here sooner? When I applied for her, she has just crossed 21. Any suggestions are appreciated. What are chances of a visit/exchange visitor visa?

Thanx in advance.

Does she want visit or immigrate?

Immigrate preferably.

What are the chances she'll be approved to visit if she has F2B petition pending?

Then Marriage would be the easiest, or Study or Work.

Depends on her ties to Pakistan.

Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done to get your daughter her sooner.

Given that you are an LPR, her brother will shortly immigrate to the US, and a pending immigration petition, a young Pakistani has a very slim chance of getting a non-immigrant visa such as a visitor visa or student visa. A non-immigrant visa applicant must show strong ties to her home country to overcome the presumption she has the intent to immigrate. There seems to be plenty of reason for her to stay in the US, but not a lot of reasons for her to return to Pakistan.

Marriage to a US citizen is the only quicker way for her at this point.
