When submitting the tax returns for both myself and my sponsor do i need to attach the federal information worksheets (15ish pages) or just the tax return (2-4 pages)??

You need to include everything, including all of your worksheets, schedules, W2's or 1099s - everything that would be included in a paper tax return (everything).

Worksheets are not part of the tax return. The pages besides the Form 1040 will generally be called Form xxx or Schedule XXX.

A way to tell what is part of the return (and not something for your informational purposes) is look on the top right for something like this--

Pages that need filing usually have an attachment sequence number for putting in order before filing. Worksheets don't have that and are not sent to IRS (or USCIS).
