Stand alone I-130 for stepchild(ren)

When filing I-130 petitions for my wife's children, so they may immigrate with her, should I also have passport-style photos accompanying their petitions?

My wife says that she doesn't trust mail to be delivered to her current address. I'm afraid that once I send in the I-130 petition, and then it goes to the NVC, they send her instructions via her address and she doesn't receive it. How should I handle that issue? Please help guys. I haven't found any way to solve this problem and I really do need to send in the I-130 ASAP.

How I went around the passport pictures, I had my husband take pictures in front of a white background following the instructions on the state department instructions and emailed them and I had Walmart print them passport size. The lady at Walmart said they were too dark and USCIS did not say a thing. You do need pictures for I 130

Thank you so much Evoria. I wonder if I should just add an attached sheet with the petition stating to send any correspondence between the NVC and my spouse (Philippines) should be sent to me instead. I just dont know. I'm sure there is a work-around for this little problem though.

There is a DS 2032t that you will assign a representative with with whom the NVC will correspond. When you file the i130 they correspond with the petitioner.

From what I understand so far, is that the NVC will use the given address (I-130) and send further instructions to the immigrant to ask for her/his request of agent. So much scattered information on the web concerning immigration.

Did you do the g1145 when you did the i130. I got emails throughout with that and then when you get to NVC I the petitioner filled the DS 2032. Email helps things move at least 5 days - 2 wks faster.

No. I haven't sent the petition off yet. Still gathering some evidence, and I was really needing this question to be answered. I believe you just did, Evoria. I hadn't even thought of the g1145 form at all. I guess, because it is listed as optional. You are so amazing Evoria! And a time-saver too! I'll be next to post my "visa journey" for all to see.

Thank you!

Congratulations, my husband did the interview he said they did not ask for much. They did ask for the custody papers. The CO had all the original documents, however we had all the copies as a backup. The only thing I would suggest in addition is pictures with the father from when the kids were younger.

Hey guys, I have a question: Does the NVC publishes a monthly bulleting for each consulate, with the interviews for that month at the beggining of it, which does not change, or more interviews keep being added as the month progresses?
