Hi Momoe, glad to see you are finally able to post. Well unfortunately its gonna take about two weeks before the NVC even receive your case, and another two weeks before they can give you invoice numbers etc. Good news is, your already one week in, so you can start calling them to see if they have received your case yet. You can also start preparing your documents for the DS230 and AOS etc.

Its one week for me since NVC received my case. Hopefully I can get an invoice number sometime next week, and get the show on the road.

Well It was suggested that I attach the form since its on behalf of a minor and the email would not be coming from her.

Not necessary...just do the email template provided on here (do you have that?), email it from your address on behave of your child who is a minor and you're done.

My only thought is maybe sending an e-mail ALONE and having it accepted is dependent on the age of the beneficiary? I can't remember how old beejay's kids are... my stepson is 16, so he signs the forms himself... maybe the e-mail doesn't work if if is coming from a child less than 14 (the age @ which they sign the forms) or from a parent's e-mail (even though NVC has it on file)? Just speculating here...

Since your child is young, I would attach the DS-3032 form, signed as "XXX signing for minor child YYY" in the beginning, rather than wait to see if they require it from you. Maybe you were going to do that anyway... (I did it without the form as a kind of test since we are not in a hurry now). I just would hate to see ANY delays in your case. I am looking for the fastest possible NVC journey for you! And hopefully your consulate schedules interviews quickly.

Since our case is kind of on hold for now, I think I am more excited about seeing yours go quickly right now

No, no barcode with the DS-3032 (but yes for the other two forms, the barcode shows you paid the fees I believe, since it is only generated after you pay) - just download it, fill it out, print it and sign it. It will be easy for you since you don't need your stepdaughter's signature (we had to wait for all the actual signed forms in the mail from Bulgaria, since my stepson is older and has to sign himself). So this step won't set you back at all, it's just insurance that there will be less chance of rejection when you send an e-mail.

It will also help if when you get your NVC case number and Invoice Identification number, you give NVC the e-mail(s) that you will be using. I forgot to do that, so I had to call back, and even then I STILL forgot to add my stepson's e-mail account.

I used the templates here for my step daughters who are 5 and 11 and sent it to NVC via email. One of the children I am applying for is on delay, for some reason. Her ds-3032 I even sent without the NVC number I just used the USCIS number and it was accepted. Additionally, I am not sure how long NVC has had your package, but I called the NVC and they gave me the invoice and other number. I could not pay for a few days with those numbers but I at least could begin the paper work referencing those numbers. Its funny, a week ago I paid the AOS, yesterday I got a letter that said I could pay the AOS fee. By the time I got that letter I had paid AOS and the IV fee and the documents have been delivered to NVC. NVC are behind on getting out notifications, I am not waiting for their letters that come a week or two after. I am checking their website for updates and using visa journey to anticipate the next step and submitting my docuemnts. Not sure if or how much that will help speed up the process, but I cant stand waiting on their responses.

Thanks so much. I guess I'll just email the template. So ur saying I can send it now without the NVC number. They have had my case since either 5/25 or 5/29. Initially I was told the 29th, but when I called yesterday, the person said the 25th. I haven't received the case number yet.

I did and it worked. I just used the template, where it said NVC number I left blank and where it said USCIS number I filled in the MSC number I got from USCIS. You said 5/25 and 5/29 did you mean 3/25 and 3/29. Possibly if you call them and ask for the numbers, they may have assigned the numbers and just have not sent the letter yet. They kept telling me we should have it processed in a week, finally at week 4 I said can I have the invoice and NVC case number he was like "oh sure" and I thought I should have asked that in the beginning. Its a try.

I had asked NVC if it was ok to use the father's email address for the beneficiaries email because they were under 16 and they said that was fine. So the choice of agent was sent from my husband's email. We got the response back today and it said it could not be accepted because the correspondence was not from the petitioner/applicant/legal representative. The first woman I talked to today said the email came back because my husband's email is not associated with the case - even though his email was the one she read back to me for the beneficiary. She said I need to send it again from my email aka the petitioner's email. The second time I called the woman said it didn't matter which email I sent it from but that the document needed to be signed, scanned and attached to the email.

^^^ This was the case that I remembered reading about and what began the speculation about the age of the child possibly making the requirements different... Maybe that rejection/request for the attachment was a fluke? Mine - and Kazulie's? and now evoria (even before she received an NVC number - I never saw anyone try that before! You should let the spouse applicants know about that trick) had theirs accepted without the attachment. We're getting more & more data on this fact-finding mission!

You might as well try it without the attachment (my only concern was that it took mine two weeks to be accepted so I was thinking it was a safety net to include it - especially since you don't have to wait for the child's signed form to arrive in the mail as we did... you just print the form and sign it for the child)

Beejay- if I understood, you only inserted the DS3032 into the body of the email? I think that was the problem. You also have to attach the actual scanned copy with signature. So, this time you should be fine! Hope you hear soon! Start stalking the payment site. You should be able to pay the AOS very soon!

I went through the rest of my notes. I can't find all the original posts (all from this thread I'm pretty sure), but here is the cut and paste info of the rest:

"We filled it out. My husband signed it and I wrote on behalf of minor child next to his name. He's daddy. We emailed it as an attachment from his email. I had given his email as the beneficiary email when the NVC first received the application. I also wrote the beneficiary's name and age and our NVc number in the re: part. And in the body of email. I wrote our info. My name and BD and her name and BD, the NVC #"

"I was under the assumption everyone could email the 3032. We didn't send any barcode with the change of agent. We emailed just the actual form as an attachment with my husband's signature because step-daughter is minor. Just be sure to include embassy case # and beneficary's name and BD and petitioner's name and BD."

This is all just FYI, sounds like things have changed since last summer, maybe the attachment is never required any more.

LAdies and Gents, I am officially at the starting line! I finally got my Case number, and IIN number. I am so excited I can scream. I signed on to pay the fees, but nothing's been invoiced yet. lol. I will wait some more.
