Ahh, I was rooting for you to outsmart the system! But those CSC timelines are also making me cautiously optimistic.

I'm trying to be very zen about the whole thing - the tests will be requested when they are requested, and the kids will come when they come. *breathe*

I do hope we all have speedy uncomplicated journeys. What are people averaging at NVC these days - 1 month? I have been planning/hopeful for a Sept/Oct interview date but we'll see how that works out.

Supposedly, if you're prepared,you can fly by in a couple of weeks. If our case was normal (having a dna test is going to add time), I would aim for a goal of 2 months from time it leaves USCIS until date of interview. Still praying that the kids will be here over Christmas break sometime!

I hope so. They are 10 and 12 - they just keep getting older. That's what is so stressful about this whole situation. You just want to selfishly put a pause button on them until they get here. My husband and I delayed our regular trip to see them so that we could attend the interview but it feels like too long since we've seen them. Skype chats aren't the same as in person visits. Are you able to go back for your kids' interview?

I could, but my husband couldn't. It would be the first time we would meet in person and probably awkward. We will probably have our nephew attend their interview with them. Unless their mother has to be there. In which case she'll take them.

I had forgotten you were waiting to hear about your husband's case. Hopefully that will get resolved soon. I'm sure your husband is also anxious to have the kids with him. How old are your kids?

10 and 14. Most likely will be 11 and 15 by the time they get here.

I'm so worried about the process and potential RFEs and the logistics of the DNA and being prepared for their arrival that I think I don't spend enough time being excited. When I allow myself to think about the end result I do get ridiculously excited. I'm trying to be conservative in our time estimates but 4 months would feel like a little present direct from USCIS.

Are you excited to finally see both of your sons in person? Are they excited about coming? nervous?

Very excited. They aren't nervous at all. They've been ready to come ever sinc Daddy left!

Yes, they sent an email stating that they have received all materials and all I have to do now is wait for them to assign an interview date for Montreal. In the meantime I've told my son to get the materials needed for his medical.

My son is 17. He just received his police clearance and passport pics. I haven't submitted these as they weren't asked for specifically yet. I had to do the DS-260 online where as when I went through this, it was the paper DS-230 and I submitted all of my info electronically.

Not sure if they will ask this now, or I just have to bring it to the interview..whenever that is.

My husband (USC) is the agent of choice.

My husband filed my I-130 together with my kids and we all received the NOA dated April 20 My kids are in the Philippines. What will be the next step for them? I noticed that their receipt number starts with WAC while mine is MSC.

We only submitted and I-864 with my AOS. Do we need to submit also I-864 to all I-130 applications?

Anybody here who had petitioned their kids from the Philippines? What is the process and how long?
