Thanks! Do any of you guys know about electronic processing? I am trying to read up and my brain hurts. It seems as though I wait for the NVC to send me a letter, then register for electronic processing and then pay/submit documents online?

Sorry, not up on EP but the monthly NVC thread might be able to provide you with some information. There's also a VJ wiki EP page that might be helpful but I'm not sure how current it it. Good luck!

Congrats! Let us know when you hear about the date :star:

Logged on this afternoon and AOS Bill was invoiced. Yay one more thing to check off the list. Now waiting for the IV application fee to be invoiced. Hope it doesnt take long. At least things seem to be happening quickly. I cant believe we just started this process on July 5 and we are already to this point. Do you think a December interview date is out of the question? She will be 3 on December 1st. We were going to plan a trip to be there for her birthday but now since everything seems to be moving quicker than we expected we are thinking we might should just wait for the interview date??

It really goes quickly from hereon. If you send in everthing this week and get case complete by the end of next week it is likely you'll get December interview date.

Good luck.

The simplest way to do this if your wife is from the Philippines is to order a copy of her marriage record from the National Statistics Office (NSO). I haven't done it this way but I believe you can request a certified copy online NSO CENOMAR/CEMAR request.

If your wife interviewed for an immigrant visa at the US embassy in the Philippines she should already have this document and could probably just send a copy of the one she already has.

Is the father's name listed on the b/c? That might have been what triggered the request. If possible you could try and get the NSO record for the father as well but I don't know that it will be necessary if you have your wife's CENOMAR/CEMAR.

You could also include an affidavit from your wife stating that she and the father were never married and that you have included the NSO document as proof. That should satisfy the requirement. Let us know how it goes.

Thank-you Beejay: I think she still has her cenomar if not we can get it online. The fathers name isn't on the bc. I will let you know what happens.

What an odd request then...but it should easy to clear up.

Best of luck and wishing you a speedy process to get your stepson here :star:

So i paid AOS fee last thursday and i've been waiting for it to show paid. I looked this afternoon and it said rejected. I called and they said that they dont show that i tried to pay it, So i got on there and tried to pay it again. Now waiting another 2-3 days to see if it is accepted. Still havent been billed for the IV fee and havent received anything showing they accepted the choice of agent....guess it's one step forward one step back :(

I know the feeling. Sorry you're dealing with these bumps.

Did you get a confirmation of receipt email after you sent the choice of agent?

I think after I paid the AOS and IV bills it said processing before it said paid. Does yours says processing now?

I did get a confirmation of the email and then i mailed it on friday just to make sure they get it. I guess i will hear something soon. It does say processing now on the AOS so im hoping it will go through this time. Do you know how long it takes for them to invoice the other? Will it be after they receive and accept the choice of agent or after the other one is paid? thanks for your help!

They will invoice the IV bill once the choice of agent is accepted.

It took about a week +/- a day to get a response from my emails, so you should be hearing soon.

The IV is a separate 'path' from AOS, so to speak, and each will proceed separately from the other one. In other words, the AOS track is initiated once NVC receives your packet and invoices the AOS bill. Once that is paid you can send in your AOS packet.

The IV track is initiated once they receive your choice of agent and invoice that bill. Once that is paid you can send in your IV packet. You can get stuck on an RFE for one but still proceed with the other. Once both 'tracks' are finished then it is case complete at NVC and they will put you in line to schedule the interview.

I'm getting ready to send my AOS package but i had a question. My mom is our co-sponsor and i have all of her financial information ready but i was wondering about her birth certificate. Do i have to send an original or certified copy or is a photo copy ok? When i originally sent in documentation for the I-130 i just sent copies and not originals and havent had a problem with any of them so far. I have tried to research and i've read different things. Some people have said that you have to send originals and others have said copies are fine just have all originals at the time of the interview.
