Yay! Are you asking about your AOS packet that you sent in the mail? IIRC it took about 2 weeks from the time I sent the I-864w for them to return it asking for the I-864 so I would guess it takes about a week after they receive it to look through it. Pretty similar to their email turnaround time. If not, then like jimnlena said, don't wait to receive anything in the mail - get your AOS packet sent out right away! http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3197.html

Thanksgiving seems like a reasonable goal. Have you sent in your choice of agent or paid your IV bill yet? You could also check the timelines of C/IR1s for UK to see how long those interviews are taking to be scheduled.

Hi! so I was wondering, does my stepfather needs to be here with me when I get to the interview? could they ask for him to be here? if so, they gonna ask before interview or at the interview? oh I'm 20

They could decide at the interview that they want him there and request that you bring him for another interview. Whether this will actually happen, I don't know but as an adult beneficiary of an IR2 I tend to think they won't but that is just speculation.

As with many things in this part of the process it can be consulate/country specific. I would first call the US embassy in San Salvador to see what they say but looking at the embassy review for El Salvador it says the petitioner is not allowed at the interview anyway so you may not have to worry about it.

I was under the assumption everyone could email the 3032. We didn't send any barcode with the change of agent. We emailed just the actual form as an attachment with my husband's signature because step-daughter is minor. Just be sure to include embassy case # and beneficary's name and BD and petitioner's name and BD. the other documents AOS and IV packets went in the good old fashion mail! Hope that helps to clarify. Don't worry, i think we feel a bit dumb as we try to figure this process out! Good luck.

As long as the payment was for the correct amount and you had some documentation aside from the I-130 form your case should be accepted well before Sept. 27th. Keep an eye out for you check to be cashed this week and it's a good sign your case has been accepted and your NOA1 will be on its way.
