Whahooooooooo case complete! Please interview come quick. Mommy just bought the cutest purple Uggs for cold winters in California!

Lol. This post is too cute. Congrats, I hope you have your interview soon.

Don't worry. I sent 2 separate i130's in January. I only received the paper copy for one of them in the mail. But i did get my email for both of them. You will never need the paper copy any way. As long as you got the email you can use it to check the status on line.

Thanks. I thought I might need it at some point later like during nvc or something. I already added the case to my portfolio online, so I guess I dont need it. :)

Hi, so my stepfather is going to need a joint sponsor(my stepsister), my stepsister is filing taxes jointly with her husband but, her husband cannot get a employement letter because he just started a new job and he was to wait like a month to be able to get one, my question is is that employement letter really necessary? or just the one from my stepsister?

Antother thing, can we send the IV visa package or we have to wait and make one package?(we are using an agent so i dont know if thats diferent)

Sorry I haven't really checked-in in a while. Looks like there has been some nice progress!

We've gotten our case numbers, AOS paid, agent email sent and are waiting for IV bill to be generated. I'll send out the AOS packet tomorrow.

Kids were accepted to the charter school but now I'm a little nervous they will lose their spots if they aren't able to get their visas soon enough.

I believe the AOS packet and IV packets can be sent separately - just have to make sure they are sent with the proper cover letters. I'm not sure if the packets have to be sent from his office or not... hopefully someone else knows. It would be good if you didn't necessarily have to wait for him to get around to sending in your stuff.

My personal opinion would be if you are mostly reliant on your sister's income and if her husband can't get an employment letter I would send it without the letter and see if NVC sends an RFE for it. You could just see if her husband could get a signed letter on company letterhead from the employer stating HUSBAND'S NAME was hired at COMPANY on DATE. He is employed FULL TIME/PART TIME and works X HOURS/WEEK at WAGE. (You might want to get something in there about the employment not being temporary or seasonal like as of DATE he is considered a permanent employee with probationary status or whatever the deal may be) Sincerely HR PERSON/BOSS whoever and send that in. What did the lawyer say about it?

Woot!!! Hope that interview does come quick!

I've been MIA as well. It's kind of heart breaking to be at a standstill with no information and no timeline as to when we may get more information. They basically could make us wait 293293 years if they wanted to and we couldn't do a dang thing about it.

Since January of this year, I came to vj probably 20 times per day and read EVERYTHING. I can't even stomach coming here anymore. It's the weirdest feeling and hard to explain. Since we got put into AP I MAYBE come once a week just to check up on things.

I still pray for you all and am excited that things are moving along smoothly for most of you! Congrats and I can't wait to hear more good news as interviews roll around!

Kazulie, that absolutely makes sense. It can be scary to feel so powerless especially in regards to your family. Just know that if you are not here we are all thinking of you and hoping for the best. When you do hear something come back and tell us - but that doesn't mean you shouldn't stop by when you are up for it.

*hugs*

I've been trying to figure that out. On the vj wiki it says a few days to 2 weeks. Not sure what that means in the current NVC bottleneck. For us it's been about a week since email was sent.

Okay guys I emailed choice of agent and paid the AOS and sent package. The day after I sent package I received the confirmation they received the Choice of AGent. It takes a bit. So for me it was 11 days. But dont worry as long as you have the auto confirmation from the email its in their Cue. I was worried too, but they have it its just slow.

Thanks for info! Also how long till they asked to pay for IV payment?

The IV payment becomes available to pay the minute they enter your choice of agent. You will get a email that your choice of agent is entered. At that moment when you go to the payment site your IV payment will be available to pay.
