How long for a decision after AOS interview

Hi all,

I had my interview yesterday April 18th at Raleigh Durham office. The interview seemed to have went okay in my opinion, the IO said he will further review our case and we will receive decision in the mail. I have checked the status online repeatedly since then but no update, i'm so anxious. Can anyone give me an idea how long it takes before the decision is made? Thanks.

There really is no way to tell. It can take anything from a few hours to weeks to months. I know this is not what you want to hear, but that's just how it goes. Usually, the decision comes pretty fast, meaning within a couple of weeks, but there are also cases where the decision is pending for what seems like an eternity. If your situation is pretty straight forward, the interview seemed to go well, and the IO has everything he needs to make a decision, chances are it won't take more than a couple of weeks. You need to be patiend - your interview was less than 24 hours ago!

In my case, our interview was on July 20, and I got the approval email on July 22. When I got my card, the "issued on" date is actually July 20th, the date of the interview - so even if the IO has already made the decision, it might still take a few days before you get the notification email.

Agree with Little_My. We had our interview 04/11 and today was notified that card production was ordered. Also we were told by the IO that we were approved on the spot but it still took a few days. I know it's anxiety provoking!
