Hmmmm.... you sling around words like "fact" and "documented" awful carelessly. In fact these issue you raise are acknowledged to be extremely speculative. The orthodox timelines put the beginnings of life on earth at 3.85 billion years at the extreme outside- not 5 billion years. And the human family didn't make an appearance any earlier than 6 million years. We certainly aren't the "product of evolution over 5,000,000,000 years." And where did you read that the chimp was the last common ancestor? (presumably the "missing-link" between between apes and hominids? Wow, the science-cultist formerly known as lord infamous has discovered the missing-link! Will you sign the cover of "Nature" for me when your ground-breaking discoveries are published?) If you are going to continue your silly little "attacks" on believers, you should get your sh_t straight, and cease being such a complete charlatan.

A good point, and a lesson to those who who read the last issue of "Archeology Today" and assume they have the answers to the universe. As a historian, I can tell you that the orthodox story of human civilization is certainly viewed skeptically by almost everyone in the field. I don't know about aliens, but Charles Hapgoods's book "Maps of The Ancient Sea Kings" certainly shook the foundations of historical orthodoxy for me, long ago.

How do you know positively they are made up lies? How do you know that it is not attempts by man to explain things that happened in the best way they could at the time.?

For starters the bible is supposed to be written by an all-knowing super human genius that absolutely loves humans (but sends most of the 150,000 people that die a day to hell....about 2 people per second) and has been here for infinity (even though that doesn't make sense).

He waited billions of years to get the evolutionary ball rolling on this very tiny microscopic planet. He (or She or It) created his first "rough draft" of humans at least 400,000 years ago. Then in the last couple thousand years came up with a genius plan to finally (after 395,000 years) reveal himself to illiterate Arab men in the most illiterate part of the world by having them write a book full of violence and contradictions (and lies/fairy tales).

Why would saying the first two people were named Adam and Eve and their neighbor was a talking snake. And speak of a big happy garden and forbidden apples be the best explanation of the time?

Why would they say your beloved Arabic man Noah collected a pair of every animal and stuffed them in crates on a boat for 40 days? Just use common sense and you know it didn't happen. Imagine the amount of piss and ####### that this traveling zoo had? Imagine the amount of food and expertise it would take to care for these wild animals. It takes less than 10 seconds to know that it never happened but makes for a good campfire story.

What about Jonah living inside the stomach of a whale in the middle of the ocean? Did that happen too or was it "attempts by man to explain things that happened in the best way they could at the time.?"

Call them myths, call them fairy tales, call them lies. They are made up tales. There is no truth to them. They are not provable and never will be. And they certainly were not told by God, he would come up with a more coherent explanation if he were real.
