can my wife accompany me during the interview In Egypt?

I heared that the US embassy in Cairo don't allow the petitioner to be during the interview, so don't they still allow this ?

07-17-2011: Marriage

10-31-2011: Mailed I-130

11-02-2011: NOA1

03-07-2012: NOA2

03-23-2012: Paid AOS and IV fees

04-02-2012: Mailed IV and AOS

04-12-2012: Case Completed at NVC, forwarded to Embassy

05-23-2012: Interview date

They did not allow in jan or feb. I am not sure now. Bit if wife is part egyptian then she can enter.

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

Yes I had my interview in Feb and she couldn't get inside with me but even though it was supportive for the embassy to know that my fiancee is outside waiting for me and she actually came to be with me during the interview. its a good thing if she is with u anyway. good luck

They don't allow that anymore? I actually couldn't go to the interview with my hubby because I had to return to the US to finish college and we thought it was shady that I didn't go with him.

So happy I don't have to deal with that any more! Waiting was so boring. Good luck with your interview!

PS: They are mean no matter what. I wouldn't sweat it!

I looked at the embassy website and it still states the petitioner is NOT allowed inside for the interview

September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!

September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
