How can you be more subversive to a democratically elected government than to claim that government is not legitimate?

When you lie and cheat your way into the White house, I hardly consider that legitimate.

If you understand anything about BHO, you'd know that his path to where he is now didn't come from winning Democratically. It came from getting his opponents removed from the ballots. From his time in Chicago, all the way to his Senate run. It never had ANYTHING to do with him being a better candidate.

Well, constitutionally the American people were NEVER supposed to choose the President.

Just as the American people were NEVER supposed to elect their senators either.

The President was your commander-in-chief and your ultimate final word between the house (the people) and the senate (the states). The idea was that everyone would be represented in one way. i/e - A Representative Republic. However that got bastardized over time and the greatest downhill turn in this country is the fact that the "people" have a say in every major office that's elected. When you give that power ultimately to the people, then you create a scenario in which we get Senators/A President that may not represent 90% of the state/country and ultimately causes turmoil amonst the populace.

If this country goes down the toilet, which is possible, it will be because of Right Wing extremism. Free higher education? Nugent's head would fvckin explode if he knew just how much all them GOP leaders were Big Gubmint lovers.

Of course we can call the "POTUS" anything we want. And his little administration too.... Maybe you see him as a king or deity, but the rest of sure don't have to. He's a radical progressive, unqualified to hold the office, and incomepetent to boot. I'm sure those qualities are quite endearing to his fellow travellers, but he can cowboy up and take the heat for his abysmal failures as president. Besides, Ted made no direct threat- he just did what he does best: send libs into a screaming, bed-wetting fit. Pure entertainment, much like Maher.

And as to the comment about history- you must know little, or you would realize that the founding generation had the same inclinations that you rail against here. Your model of government boot-licking would have assured that there was no American Revolution at all...
