Thanks for the info DomRep!

I am assuming (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

Banco Popular -> $140 (K1) or $130 (Cr/Ir)

Embassy -> $80 (K1 & Cr/Ir)

Total -> $240 for K1 or $230 for Cr/Ir

You still need to 2 receipts from Banco Popular. They split the costs up. One cost is for Visa and other is a Processing Fee. We just don't know the exact number for each. It was a $16 Processing Fee before (maybe its the same). That would mean that the K1 Visa is $124 + 16 = $240 and the Marriage Visa is $114 + $16 = $230?

*Remember to get 1 receipt for each separate payment. 2 receipts, 2 separate payments at Banco Popular

It should work out to be:

Banco Popular: $160 + $15 (processing fee)

Embassy: $80

Total: $240 + $15 (processing fee)

Now I am not sure exactly what the cost of the CR-1 fees are but the breakdown should be similar.

Yet in Western Union its like 36 (and some change) :wacko: Oh well, thats life for ya! lol.

It is better to send the money in US dollar and let her exchange it there at the bank. She will get the current exchange rate at the bank in D.R. You know Western Union is ALWAYS trying to rip us off LOL... To send it in US dollar you have to go in to any Western Union and request it to be sent in US dollar and not peso.

Thanks for the information. What am I missing as i just checked the USICS website and got this Filing Fee :

$340. (There is no fee for petitions for K-3 status based on an immigrant petition filed by the same U.S. citizen.)

Is it still $340 to file? Then the Fees we pay at their home country for the Visa etc decreased?

Thanks
