Paid visa fee, further instructions are confusing

Hello all :)

My K1 interview is on May 1st.

I paid my visa fee at Australia Post with the deposit slip that I downloaded from the UStraveldocs.com site, no problems, all went well.

Now I have receipt and the instructions on the deposit slip inform you to return to the US travel site and enter the 13 digit number that is displayed on the receipt.

I logged in, I had previously created a profile as advised by Sydney in my appointment letter, and attempted to find where I am to enter the 13 digit number.

Thats where the fun and confusion begins!

All I can find is a section for scheluding an appointment, which asks to check non-immigrant, then it lists the types, there is no K1 Fiance visa listed.

Why would you want to schedule an appointment anyway, when you already have one given to you by Sydney?

This option must be for other visa types is what I am thinking.

So my head is spinning, what now?

I cannot find where to enter the 13 digits, do I even need to do this at all?

My understanding was that once I paid the visa fee and had the receipt in hand, all that was required was to ensure I took it to my interview.

Any other Australian K1 Vjers who have recently completed this stage who can shed some light on this?

Much appreiated

my packet 4 says bring an express envelop (or any traceable) to interview, so they can post your passport and visa to you.

Related to the interview..I thought we needed to bring some envelope?? However, my packet 4 doesn't say anything about this.. anyone?

Can you post a copy of your interview letter? (removing your personal info)

What envelope did you need to get??

Huh! totally different now hey! Well looks like you don't need one and they just mail it back to you.. according to the link on that paper: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/au/au-iv-documentdelivery.asp I got a premium platinum one. Maybe now the fee for mailing is included in the visa fee...

Paid my visa fee at post office just now, they were having trouble scanning that barcode into their system, so they typed it. and said they only accept cash or eftpos, no credit card. lucky i had some cash on me. paid $240. and got a normal post office receipt stapled onto that A4 deposit slip. that's it i guess?

Interview next Tue yay~~~ hope i can get the visa within 8-9 days.

Yeah i read the instruction again in pkt 4, didn't mention about the express envelope. i was wrong.
