Thank you. Sorry it posted twice. So is the cr-1 a longer process? We aren't going to give up just because denial. What we have is worth fighting for.

No, CR-1 and K-3 are roughly the same time period. CR-1 is better because you get an immediate Green Card (legal permanent resident card) when you enter. If you enter with K-3, you have to adjust status which costs time and money. K-3s are obsolete, so don't use it.

Gosh, I'm so sorry about your denial and your recent illness and surgeries....it seems so unfair :( Try to get him another interview before it gets sent back. There are members here that can tell you how to do that. And I haven't read the comments yet, so maybe they have. So sorry for both of you and I wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide to do.

Yes I am on medicine. I was going to travel there in oct. Canceled due to extreme medical conditions. My Step Dad in hospital the month of oct and passed away Nov 14th. I have also been ill and in hospital for two plus months and two surgeries. Still on meds however this condition will go away, no longer life threating. That was reason for delay in my 4th trip there. However i did go this last week to be there for interview. I dont know how I can get results for denial since they havent told him reason however i believe they need to tell me since i am petitioner. Any advice?

Today I am just returning from Casablanca Morocco. His visa was denied. We both so heart broken. I know this is not the reason, however they asked what kind of medicine I am on. He said he was not sure of name. The man for interview said to bad, your denied. No reason given to him. We just don't understand. Planning to get married soon and apply for the visa 3k. ARGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH this is so heart breaking.

I am SO sorry to hear about your SO's denial in Casablanca. My SO and I await his interview. I cannot imagine being in your shoes, but I know I must be ready as it is so common. Blessings to your endeavors from here on out. Yes, do veer toward the marriage VISA; it offers so much more and is the frequent next step after a K-1 denial.

My questions are:

1. When you mention medications, are you saying USCIS knew about your condition from YOU, the petitioner, due to your changed flight?

2. How many times have you visited Morocco to be with your SO prior to the interview? How long was your relationship prior to the interview?

3. This is the ONLY question that your SO could identify as the snafu in the interview? How is his English? Was he comfortable answering their harsh interrogation in general?

Well, I wish you both the best.

Allison

The CO may have just asked "do you know what medicines he/she is on?" without the CO knowing the answer, just to see how the applicant would respond.

i was there, yes. Thank you. Ouch is right

Go over to the MENA forum, and see what others have done who have been rejected in Casa. See if you can get your congressman involved and see if they will not send the packet back, and consider giving him a 2nd interview.

Was your husband able to speak about your medical condition, even if he wasn't able to identify your medication?

People who have been denied on K1 visas in Casa, and go on to marry and file I-130 have also been getting denied if the original reason for denial is not addressed.

Casa consulate is getting tougher and tougher every day. Unless people are fully prepared, Casa is likely to deny.

Go over to the MENA forum, and review some of the info on how to deal with denials, try to get the paperwork kept in Casa, and how to prepare for interviews.

Was your fiance able to

This ought to be illegal actually due to HIPPA laws here in the US.

My family is covered on my medical plan, I know what meds my underage kids take but I am not allowed to know what meds my Ex takes unless she chose to divulge it.

Sorry this happened.

Do you have the usual red flags?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Most likely,
