me and my wife are in the process of getting a CR1 visa

we are just waiting on a interview date. from what i understand

the visa will be issued under that name that is on her passport right?

if this is correct then she will get her visa under her maiden name.

after the interview and visa in hand is there anything she can

do so that the Green Card will show her married name?

we just want all documents under married name.

(green Card, SSN, ID, ect.)

Then change the name on her passport and take both the new and old passport to the interview. Far easier than changing the name on the green card later and only way to get the visa and green card in the married name to begin with.

as i understand it, the last name comes from passport....

so if she were to enter USA with green card with maiden name, you can apply for a re-issue card with married name (and pay more money...)

also sidenote. i believe if a page 4 endorsement done, then that will reflect her married name and be used.

That might be possible but all international travel must be in the passport name. It is easier and less expensive to change the passport name NOW than the green card later and much easier than changing both later.
