you can't sponsor them, they have to get the tourist visa on their own merit, to show strong ties to their country. You can invite them, but they are the ones that have to show strong ties, that they will return to their country, when they have their interview.

this is different if i send sponsorship and how i can send

Um, no, there is no sponsorship. It's not different. They apply for the visa by themselves. You and your wife are not involved.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Ajit how is this different?

It is still same there is no sponsorship letter, all you can do is send a letter of invitation and that pretty much it.

Your parents in India will have to fill the form and show all the reason why they would not overstay in US and would return back to India.

There is nothing that you can send would make CO sway his / her decision, CO would make a decision based on how your parents show the ties to India.

there is NO such thing as 'sponsorship' for tourist visa applicants...there is NO legal requirement that an applicant have any sponsor....the applicant must convince the VO that they will depart the US after their authorized stay and NOT engage in unlawful employment (such as.....babysitting so the new mom can go back to work)...third parties, whether relatives or friends, cannot positively influence the VO's decision (but can easily negatively influence same).

As others have said, there is no sponsorship needed (or in existence) for tourist visas. A tourist visa is just that, a tourist visa.

To get a tourist visa, they don't need a reason other than tourism. Whether they want to see Mount Rushmore, the Lakers or their new grandchild is irrelevant as far as the visa goes. It's the same visa, and they have to apply for it.

They have to prove they intend to return to India - That requirement is the same, whatever the reason for their visit may be.

They still can come using tourist visa for your child's birth - just there is not much you can to help them. They need to apply on their own.
