thx

Okay, as AAron has stated you and your wife needs to consult the US embassy in Canada, do not try to enter on a Canadian passport. POE will not let you through, wife US passport, Husband Egypt passport w Green card, Child US passport and newborn Canadian passport.

POE will STOP you'll from leaving Canada. GO TO THE nearest US embassy for directions.

Re the bolded section... Yes and no. Yes but they don't just go on their merry way claiming the child as a USC. They need to file an N-600 (http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=a936cac09aa5d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD ) to get the child a certificate of citizenship to get the citizenship recognised. THEN it's all fine and dandy.

.

You confused me with this the last time. Please pull up I-864W which the USC will need to submit for Affidavit of Support exemption on behalf of the beneficiary. This is the form the new baby will use and their name is the one on the I-864W (where as those bringing spouses complete the I-864)

"I am under 18, unmarried, immigrating as the child of a U.S. citizen, and will automatically become a U.S. citizen under the Child Citizenship Act of 2000 upon my admission to the United States."

I was told that the part of the passport where visas are mounted will have that information. (I am petitioning for my 16 year old son)and at POE he will automatically become a US Citizen. What will remain is to document that citizenship by either applying for N-600 or US passport.
