I don't know the answer to your question. We haven't gotten to your stage of visa journey yet, as we just submitted our I-130 with a copy of Nikah Nama and it's English translation. I was also wondering about the same question that you are asking. May be someone else can answer our questions. But was your original Nikah Nama notarized or had some kind of official government stamp? (our's didn't)

You do NOT need to submit the NADRA registration certificate. I only submitted my original Nikah Nama with the union council stamp and one photocopy of it (not notarized) to the NVC. That's it. I submitted nothing else and I had no problems whatsoever. My original was already in English and I didn't have to submit any translations.

If you have an Urdu Nikah Nama, you are required to submit a certified True Translation into English with it, plus 1 photocopy each of the original and the certified true translation. That's it.

If you have already submitted the above, I suggest you immediately call NVC and ask them what they want since you have already submitted the originals.

Do not submit the NADRA certificate without clarification first. If you received an RFE to submit your "Original Marriage Certificate" then the NADRA one is NOT what they want.

i submitt my original nikhnama in english and urdu.both are original and notarized copy of nikhnama in english also submitted.but when i call to NVC they said that they have our nikhnama but we require marriage certificate i think they need marriage certificate from nadra.my k1 visa was denied in oct 2011 and now it is in revocation process that,s why i think they required my marriage certificate and they investigate more about my case

If NVC acknowledges that it has received your original Nikah Nama but requests that you submit the Marriage REGISTRATION Certificate, then yes, they want the NADRA certificate.

I think you are running into this problem because of your K-1 denial. Now they want to make sure your marriage is valid and registered with the Government of Pakistan.
