Pay close attention to the Democrat and Republican led deregulation in the 80's and 90's and then look up Brooksley Born vs. Alan Greenspan and you'll learn a lot more than what the ** sheeple websites are trying to make you believe.

Government spending during Bush's term had NOTHING to do with the economic downturn. Nor did his tax policies. Actually his tax policies led to the largest amount of revenue EVER collected by the Federal Government in 2007. Of course I'm sure you missed this part as well. I must say out of every ten teachers I had... one was right winged, six were left, and three would not promote their "agenda".

You realize that democratic party voters but a completely unqualified candidate into office who continued to fight a global war, pushed a democratic congress incessantly for unprecedented levels of deficit spending, and not only wants to shield nearly half the population from any taxes at all, but wants to subsidize them with other taxpayer's money. Funny, My Econ100 and 101 teachers were both left leaning. They did not push their agenda that much.

I majored in International Business and Management Information Systems.

Most of my undergraduate and "cultural/diversity classes" had the most opinionated instructors. As I moved up, the teachers seemed to lean more right (Business School), but they did not push their agenda too much.

My furthest Right Class was Chemistry 100, teacher loved to preach politics in class.

My furthest Left Class was a Human Resources Management - International Management class. To make it worse, if you were a white male in that class, you were screwed, because we were the oppressors of society...

My favorite economics professor (I did a unit on the Economics of Sub-Saharan Africa purely because he taught it) was a big deal in the Bush senior administration. Pretty right wing and loved free markets but never pushed anything.

Where was your Econ 101 class taught? Cutting taxes don't cause an economy to be in the toilet and plenty of middle class folks benefited from those tax cuts. The truth of the matter is govt other than the Federal Reserve had a hand in the economic slow down, also. Ever heard of Fannie Mae? Put the glass down & stop drinking the liberal kool-aid.

How is this a worst recession than late 1970, early 1980? Go back and look at the numbers from Jimmy Carter's mess, we are nowhere close to the level of interest rates and unemployment of that time.

In high school, we were required to take a Free Enterprise class. Our teacher indoctrinated us by forcing us to watch videos of Milton Friedman professing the utopian fantasies of a free market. As you can tell, the indoctrination had a profound effect on me.

Actually my personal favorite college professor was an ultra-conservative CIA recruiter. We didn't always agree on some topics but he was a very sharp mind, very dapper, very organized and interesting professor as well as an interesting person to know.
