Now I'm off to do some work in my own garden. Time to get those veggies planted. kicking.gif

Thanks for sharing rose.gif

Well I too have to plant some veggies this week. Growing some bell peppers, parsley, hot peppers, lots of tomato's as we go thru so many tomatoes with tajines in this house. I started growing mint a while back as we use it for his moroccan tea.

Along with Julianna, that makes at least 4 of us into tilling the soil... we need to start a MENA garden thread...

Too bad what happened to a once thriving VJ but hardly a surprise

I'm all for that. My flowers this year are gorgeousssssss. I was going to plant my veggies today but saw on the news there will be a freeze tonight. I live in the Northeast and the weather is so unpredictable this year.

Guess I better head on over to Kat's thread since this has turned into the lollipop and rainbows thread....

feel free...i didn't post this thread to be belittled...sorry if you don't like the fact that some of us are happy. I posted it because I wanted to connect with people with similar stories...and if you were to read the whole thread u would see it isnt all about lollipops and rainbows...i feel for kat she is going through a rough time...i hope she finds peace and closure to her situation. we are all adults here. I appreciate everyone's advice and input, but the snide comments are uncalled for.

This thread is giving me a belly ache its so gushy and sweet. I spend way too much time in the real world for this stuff. I can't even imagine my husband being the end all be all of my life.

Loving my husband doesn't mean I lose my identity. If that is what anyone thinks, then they don't know one ounce of who I am. And I'm not surprised someone has tried to derail the positive flow

And most of the veterans here expect that most MENA couples will make it through the first few years together after the MENA guy's arrival in the U.S. - for sure through the 10-year card and often through citizenship. A few couples will hit the skids before that, but most will make it that far.

This is very different from what I have seen in this forum. Don't forget to count the doubles and triple dippers now! :P

who said our husbands are the end all be all? not one person even intimated that. We all have lives and families and jobs and hobbies etc...why cause drama? seriously?

Yeah I wasn't referring to you at all.

Both of you used to drive me nuts with your lovesick blathering. :P

Indeed. Your gushing was practically intolerable!

Yes! Actually, Mithra, LaL, and Sandinista do some gardening too (or at least can be coerced to put up with hearing about it).

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.
