Hello everyone,

I AM REALLY TENSED. Its taking too long. Our case was completed in May 2011 & until now, we are waiting for an interview date. :help:

Does anybody has any idea how long does it take to transfer our file from NVC to Mumbai Consulate ??

They even sent us an letter saying keep in touch or our fee will expire etc. Soon visas will be issued! But WHEN ???? :crying:

People say 91 days from case completed but ours is over 4 months!

Also can ANYONE tell me what CUT-OFF DATE is ???? It says 1988 ??? Why 88 ?? =O

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. Don't just read & ignore... if you know, PLEASE ANSWER!!

My category - F4

PD - November 2001

Cut off date - Jan 88

Thanks in advance!

PD should be current.

Currently it is Nov 8th, 2000.

If the OPs PD is Nov 2001 then its not current its off by 1 year. Isn't it?

I really wish I had a magic ball to tell me when interview dates are. But I don't, no one does

I know that you've been waiting a long time, have you tried contacting the consulate like the letter you received stated you should?

Good luck

Platinium member - lol. No, how is that possible. Never mind.

Super Elite - Well, a year ?! Cannot be another year !! It has to be months!

Super Star - Who doesn't wish?! Well, the letter stated nothing, but saying "soon" visa will be issued.

By the way, does ANYONE know what CUT-OFF date is ?

PD should become current, then you will get your interview. Based on latest update from Mumbai consulate, you will need to wait almost a year to get your interview.

Visa issuance decision is up to CO. Nothing can be promised upfront.

Iwaiting & Sony - I know it has to be current inorder to get an interview, but how can they do this?

I mean they sent us a letter like 2 years ago telling us that we will be getting an interview soon & now it has been 9 months since our case got completed & giving the fee.. now just AWAITING !! When we met a travel agent, he said visa bulletin is not always right & it might proceed soon, by June - July.

hello aria,Welcome to Visajourney, your PD is likely to current within 11 month (approximate) or less . It actually depends on the pace of monthly visa bulletin . i recommend you not to be tensed, being depressed wont help you in this situation . Hopefully the pace of monthly visa bulletin will increase in the coming new fiscal year i.e Oct 2012.till then stay with us and join our conversation in the topic "ALL f4s" . GUdluck

PD is 12 DEC 2000

welcome aria. To vj .

My local consulate is also mumbai consulate..

My pd is april 2001

And case completed on jan 2011...so its like 15 months..still waiting....

Coz my pd is not current....due to retrogreesion .

Ri8 now cut off date is december 2000(not jan 88- u probably seen maxico's cut off daTe )

According to current pace..it may take 11 months or less to get appointment .as jyousuf said.

And dont trust local agents...bcoz some of them Even dont know what is retrogression....

It is golden rule that..in order to get iv for family based categories...your pd must be current.

And dont worry about fees..

They will not xpire...only pcc (police and passport Clearance certificate ) will xpired.

I think already xpired...coz u said your case Completed 9 months ago...

so sit back, and relax....

Make your self busy in other work.

Dos publish visa bulletin around 8 of every month.Just keep your eyes on it.

:) best of luck.
