Pending ROC Change of Address

So I have a pending application for ROC. I filed in July 2011 and it appears that many people from VSC are starting to see approvals... which is great, but I just moved today! Ugh :(

So I hope there is enough time for them to process my change. I sent in an AR-11 for both me and my son.

My question is, if my change of address does not make it in time and they send out notice or approval, is ROC documents that can be forwarded? I forwarded my address with US Postal Service but I know some USCIS docs are not to be forwarded.

Just wondering what the worst is that would happen? Also, I received extension letters for both me and my 8 year old son and I had Biometrics done which had a diff ref# on it. When I call in, the Ref# on our extension letters don't bring anything up, but they find me on my Bio ref#... so I have no ref# for my son??? And when I ask customer service to confirm that he is pending under my application, they say they don't have that personal info at customer service and I would have to visit a local office for that.

I really do not want to have to make an Infopass apmnt if I don't need to. Obviously they rec'd our app's as we both got extension letters.

Should I trust the AR-11 and hope for the best? Or should I take more steps to ensure my approval and cards get to me?

The website does say that it can take up to 45 days to process and address change. I really need to know if it is possible for this type of mail to forward. Anyone else file with pending app?

Any experience of advice is appreciated.

:)

When you have a pending case always call to confirm the address change over the phone as well as doing it online.

Thanks guys.

I did call and they said all I have to do is fill in the AR-11, but the site says if you have a pending case that you have to call in the change too. But they didn't do that when I called?!

I plan on doing the 865 in a few days when I get unpacked. I'm dealing with immediate issues like my limbo GC lol...

I hope to hear from someone who has gone through the same thing?

I hope the only way to change an address on the system is not by making an infopass appmnt cause that will be a pain right now :( customer service doesn't tell you anything :(

If I have to make an infopass, does anyone know if they can change your address on the spot?

Or if anyone has had their GC forwarded to a new address with US postal service.. That information would help :)

There is a July filer who went through the same process. The approximate name is "Mr and Mrs". Perhaps you should contact them for more info, they recently got approved. I don't know them personally, but I happen to see that they did a change of address while I-751 was pending and they have followed the same steps: AR-11/I-865 online, then mailing AR-11,and then calling USCIS to confirm the address. I did some research as I will be changing our address as well next month!
